I watched the first 2 episodes of Night Court with extremely low expectations. It's never going to measure up to the original but I found myself laughing a bunch of times. That's more than I can say for most new comedies.

Yeah. I feel like it hit a lot of the right feels from the old one to set up the new one but it may be too much at once. It may be okay once it finds its footing but it's got a lot to live up to and I can't seeing it ever reaching that pedestal. And of course, like all sitcoms from the '80s and '90s, they kept the laugh track and it was way too much. Not sure if they could have done otherwise without changing the original feel of the show, but there was so much of it. I'll keep watching though.

anyone watch Copenhagen Cowboy? latest Winding Refn show? the plot may be a bit thin but stylistically, no one matches him. I'll watch anything he goes.

The acting, all-around, seems very hammy. I do hope that they manage to get Brent Spiner to do a guest appearance though.

Just a heads up, the first two episodes of Vox Machina drop tomorrow but...if one were to be so inclined, they might be available...

Holy crap. I vividly remember those characters but never once recognized the actor as Brent Spiner. That just blew my mind.

Hunters S2 is not good. It's all over the place, and the flashbacks/time jumps every few scenes completely derail any momentum. The story is disjointed and feels rushed, and why the #### is Al Pacino even involved this season? His character served no purpose.

I can't recall much of season one, but I remember I quite liked it. Now that I'm done the last season I wish I hadn't watched it.

I was chatting with a coworker the other day about Star Trek TNG, favourite episodes and all that.

He mentioned the episode "The Inner Light", I remembered the basics of that one but last night gave it a rewatch. I'm so happy it's on Netflix.

It's brilliant.

It's the kind of episode someone that has never seen nor really has any interest in star trek could watch and thoroughly enjoy.

I remember season 1 getting worse as it went along. Then the big "twist" with Pacino's character was entirely nonsensical. I had just assumed the series was cancelled and wasn't exactly disappointed if it were.

The quality path of Vikings could probably be compared to Game of Thrones, it doesn't get as high, and definitely doesn't get as low. But if you loved the first couple seasons and are starting to find it annoying my two cents is it will get worse.

Just wrapped up the Amazon LOTR series: The Rings of Power. Pretty inconsistent quality and pacing, and some points in the first couple of episodes that made me ask why I'm watching it, but it builds really well to several different climaxes at the end of the season. To me, it was worth it, but it does have a slight Xena: Warrior Princess vibe at times. Still good enough to recommend it to anyone who really is into the LOTR world. Those that are only casual fans may not appreciate it as much.

One thing I noticed more is a distinct horror/gore component that wasn't present as much in the films. There really is some gruesome and graphic stuff at times.

None of that came close to Denethor with his diner

Velma has literally hit so low that its now IMDB's lowest rated television show in history. And they're still talking about a second season. I had to jump in and watch the first two episodes and I can agree, its truly awful.

I can't even describe how awful the characters are, how outright mean the scripting is, especially Velma who is amazingly one of the most unlikeable characters that I've ever seen. The animation is terrible except for these brilliant I guess you'd call them dream sequences.

On top of it, its not really Scooby Doo, there's no dog and if the rumors are true
Spoiler!
you have to wonder first of all, how this got greenlit? second of all, is this the end of Mindy Kaling?

When I watched it, it was with the usual idea of watching something to see if its so bad its good. It doesn't work that way. It feels like the writers and Kaling hated Scooby Doo, Hate adults who watch Cartoons, and hate white males (The Fred stuff isn't funny, it isn't some sharp political satire. Its just ugly and mean spirited.

I've never been a Star Trek guy but in TNG's peak many of my friends were. They convinced me to watch 1 episode of their choosing and if I didn't like it they would stop bugging me about it.

That episode was The Inner Light.

After which I watched the entire series.

Yeah...if you get one shot to convince someone on Star Trek you pick 'The Inner Light.'

Or, if you're bold enough you can recommend 'Skin of Evil?'

They did it before Game of Thrones made it cool!

Philistine! Lagertha was awesome!

Not quite 'Floki awesome' but still really good nonetheless.

Yeah, Bjorn is annoying.
