uh, I know you have a Sam Bennett alarm but I wasn't the one who brought him up...he was discussed in a trade rumor and I am saying I don't think he has as many points for another team.
Do you disagree that the Panthers play a pretty wide open style that creates lots of chances both for and against?

No he can't. He's one of those posters that has to pile on ex-Flames to make himself feel better.

Not too shabby after that

I'd say Toffoli too. He started strong right after the trade, but the rest of the season wasn't great. But now - I'd say he's just fine.

I see 82 points a season as his base level going forward. And if our GM could get him an actual line to play with he'd easily be over a PPG, imo.

He's definitely better than a 50-60 point player but I don't think it's unfair to criticize him, he's had an extensive adjustment period now and still doesn't look anything special. System or not but Gaudreau and Tkachuk managed to produce under Sutter and so should Huberdeau considering what he is about to get paid. I mean he's on pace to score something like 15 goals right now, that's not worth even his current contract. The good news is his production can only go up from here.

Again it wasn't me that brought him up and the point is 100% valid to the discussion

I have no idea if this is a legit source or not, but it says that trade talks for Horvat are heating up between Vancouver and Boston. Other teams interested in Horvat include the Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Seattle Kraken.
https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/bo-h...canucks-bruins
Please don't trade him within the division.

Let’s see Pelletier on Kadri’s and Huberdeau’s line, move Lucic into the press box for some load management…I’m fooling myself. Two years ago, Sutter wouldn’t play the young guys at the end of the year.

Last time Looch sat for a few games, it did good for him. I don't understand why Sutter keeps going with these lines. Sure, they had a few good games together, but now it has regressed to the level that would be excpected; not productive. I wish they would have lost 6-0, just to prove a point

Feels like a trade is coming up.
Team is remaining in it while looking flat. Need a shot in the arm really bad and a trade could do that.

Oh good, the perfect scenario for us to make a trade where our assets are undervalued and we sell at the lowest.
It has been a while since we made a trade with Toronto.

Keep an eye on Treliving I suppose. If he resigns before the trade deadline get ready for an awful trade right after lol

Sounds like Matt Dumba is on the verge of being traded. He's being held out of the lineup tonight, non-injury related. I'm thinking the Oilers may be the team making the move given their situation but clearly it a lot of salary would have to go back.

He is a Calgary kid. Have injuries derailed him? I haven't paid an ounce of attention to Minnesota this year.

Seems like he hasn't been the same player since that fight with Flames I forgot who it was but his numbers have taken a nose dive.
The Oilers should go all in.

His offensive production has plummeted and it seems the organization has always been lukewarm on him. A change in scenery could be good for him or he's simply levelled off as a 25 point middle pairing guy.

I remember he was on a heater then he fought Tkachuk and tore his pec if I recall? He was out for a while and never got it back it seems.

Treliving does seem to get his "deadline" deals done early. I think Toffoli for example, was acquired a few weeks before the deadline.

Another thing here is that there are a bunch of teams that are to some extent underperforming.
Philly, Islanders, Colorado, St Louis, Florida, Nashville and Washington could be used as examples.
We need a winger and maybe some of the teams above might be interested in swapping parts.
