If they are gonna flip a coin on those just don't allow anything off a skate and call it a day.

he's not earning 10.5 yet either

The whole team took 2 periods off tonight so I think singling put any particular performance from any player is a moot point.
Only Flame with full marks for me tonight is Markstrom.

I think the Flames are right where they deserve to be in the standings based on how they’ve played so far. Right in them middle of the conference.
You can point to disallowed goals, officiating, strength of schedule, number of goalposts etc. to try to make it seem like something else but that stuff evens out. And they’ve certainly been way more fortunate than others with injuries.
Should make for an interesting second half.

He’s not a competitor.
He’s not elite.
He’s overrated.
He’s a boat anchor contract.

I don't disagree, I also hate disinterest but if he had the performances that Dube has had in the last 10 games, he would have been booted to the 4th line 6 games ago.
That's basically what happened to him.

Thanks! I put about as much effort into it as huberdeau does on the ice. Just floating around my thoughts.

Huberdeau has been putting up points lately, but I do agree I rarely see him take over a game or create a goal out of nothing.
For someone who had 85 assists last season I would think he'd be creating tap-in PP goals for his teammates consistently at least.

He likely leads the league in crossbar assists

Looking at the score app box scores, he had a goal and 3 second assists for the road trip. Not bad for sure, but a team always looking seemingly looking for that one more goal, he hasn’t been a game breaker by any means.
I do think we are definitely unfairly comparing him to gaudreau and tkachuk. Those guys are in another tier compared to Huberdeau, that’s not his fault.

At least he shoots the puck when he’s suppose to and doesn’t try and feed the puck through 8 legs and 4 sticks to a cross seem option that isn’t open…
When a team can basically check their men 5v4 because one guy will pass 90% of the time, you leave it to your goalie to stop that 10% shot.
This is why PP2 always seems to generate chances with limited time. The other team actually has to defend it.

Huberdeau's last 3 seasons are the best of the 3 points wise...he is certainly capable of being on that level

He's set up tap in goals we just haven't scored on them. He set Toffoli on a empty net and he shot it into the stands.
He doesn't even have proper linemates. Kadri hogs the puck and Lucic doesn't belong in the top 6. Our coach refuses to put young quick players in the lineup. That line should be a rush chance line not grinding along the boards.
Look at thr goal against St. Louis it was a line rush play attacking the net.
Again look at Sutters history you won't get those offensive seasons we saw last year. If it's goals and assists you're after Sutter isn't that guy he will get you wins and as he's stated thr only regular season award he cares about is the Jennings.
Iggy's two seasons under Sutter saw him get 71 and 67 points.

Scoring Winger

All these comments about Ruzicka looking disinterested while playing the exact game Sutter wants him to play on the 4th line. How about Lindholm looking disinterested, he is completely different from last year, he might be getting points but he is nowhere near the level that he needs to be at.

I was talking about Huberdeau, he has setup a lot of guys that hit the crossbar...well mostly Tofolli
half kidding, although he has setup plenty of chances that should have been buried

I wonder if the other teams even bother to game plan for individuals on this roster, or if they just roll out generic team defense a or b or c, because other than Looch or Zadorov just because of their size it really seems like other teams just play our guys to a man because they're all so generic. Having to game plan for the guys that left undoubtedly opened up a step here and there for the rest of the team that just isn't there anymore.
