As long as they finish 12th worst or higher they can't win the lottery.

I think a realistic scenario is that they make it as a wildcard then are schooled with structure and superior goaltending by the jets, just like in 2021

Jets did a good job of limiting them in their last meeting, so I think their oiler-stifling ways have carried over

would be a nice way to end McDavid's season with **** all to show for it, yet again

The only thing I worry about is that they have whined about the last series against the Jets about not have enough penalties called against the Jets. And they will dive and dive and dive some more to get the PP.

Yeah, I think SEA makes it, I just don't think it's a done deal - there is still a very real chance they don't. I think we see 9 teams in the west hit 96 pts. And one of them will be left holding the short end of the stick. IMO, the likelihood of who that is, in order is:

EDM
LAK
SEA
CGY
COL
MIN

And yes I agree - I think the Kraken will be first round fodder

No way Oilers miss the playoffs the NHL will give them 8 pp a game if necessary. They can't afford to have this 150 point season laid out for McDavid to not have a playoff appearance.

I would like our chances very much against Seattle, regardless of who has home ice

I don't mind them sticking around spots 2/3 in the pacific

pretty ideal first round opponent with their inexperience

Big game. Put some distance between us and Nashville.

Will be a tough one though.

Nashville approaching do or die territory, and that dressing room to a man is probably aware of it

Calgary having a good trip and probably thinking about heading home to families later tonight

will need to bring the focus and their work boots

Vegas 1
Calgary 2
Seattle 3
LA WC1
Minnesota WC2
Oilers trade their 1st and prospects at the deadline and miss the playoffs by one point.

This is the best case.

Calgary has the second easiest remaining schedule in the NHL. Only team that has an easier schedule is the Seattle Kraken.

I wonder if Looch doesn't fade away this year .

He is not running guys through the boards at all right now, that alone should reduce the wear and tear on his old body.

I see him playing a much different role on the Naz line. Straying away from the ultra physical game he plays on the fourth line and into a slightly more cerebral game.

Still plays a straight line game , but he is making those smart passes like he did in the Covid playoffs.

I want Pelts & Bubba get in the lineup so bad but which line do you disrupt after waiting so long for the cohesion ?

Watching from Medillen, Coumbia, home of Pablo Escobar.

The locals tell me he was a Flames fan before he was gunned down.

Vamos Flames!!

This is surprisingly bad singing. I’ve been to Nashville and there’s a better singer in every var.
