(also LA has a -3 so I'm still waiting for them to slide down to wild card territory)
if Colorado loses its games in hand on the teams above them, we could have the top 8 teams almost locked in in the west and it will just become about positioning

with Nashville sliding (which the Flames can help tonight), it's quickly becoming a 9 team race

I think the pacific order eventually settles as
1. Vegas
2. Seattle
3. Calgary
4. LA/Edmonton (WC)
5. LA/Edmonton (WC)

beat Colorado on wednesday and you create separation from them as well, and keep them back of the playoff line

Who gets the net tonight? I personally hope its Vladar even with that mediocre performance last game. (just shows how much faith I've lost in Marky)

A team Calgary SHOULD beat but I'm thinking this will be another tight one.
With Nashville at home, and the Flames on the road, that 7 point difference in the standings, especially with the Preds having two games in hand, is negligible.

This game is a tossup.

Pretty sure it sounded like he said Markstrom starts based on his answer to a questions after the game on Saturday but only Sutter knows.

Marky in net, lineups remain the same otherwise

3-2-2 would be a mediocre road trip. 3-1-3 would be a good trip and 4-1-2 would be an excellent trip.

The result of tonight's game is actually quite pivotal when looking at the trip as a whole.

I think Colorado is a lock for the playoffs. One of EDM, LAK, CGY or SEA are not getting in.

Right so outcomes can be either

win = 3-0-2
OTL = 2-0-3
L = 2-1-2

All scenarios above are good, really, but win is an amazing trip.

It's a 5-game road trip. They are currently 2-0-2. So either a 3-0-2 (awesome), 2-0-3 (very good), or 2-1-2 (good) trip

I think at this point we can lock Seattle in.

Any chance we see Pelletier play his first game today?

Edit: No

I think if Flames win tonight, Pelletier might get a shot against depleted Colorado at home ice

Sure but that's not really justified by his current play.

Ruzicka can come out its time he sits as well. You can bump Lucic down and move Lewis to the middle.
