if Colorado loses its games in hand on the teams above them, we could have the top 8 teams almost locked in in the west and it will just become about positioning

with Nashville sliding (which the Flames can help tonight), it's quickly becoming a 9 team race

I think the pacific order eventually settles as
1. Vegas
2. Seattle
3. Calgary
4. LA/Edmonton (WC)
5. LA/Edmonton (WC)

beat Colorado on wednesday and you create separation from them as well, and keep them back of the playoff line

The Preds are 7 pts back from the Flames and Oilers (who are tied with Calgary ahead in the first Wild Card base on pts % and one less GP)

A team Calgary SHOULD beat but I'm thinking this will be another tight one.

With Nashville at home, and the Flames on the road, that 7 point difference in the standings, especially with the Preds having two games in hand, is negligible.

This game is a tossup.

I think Colorado is a lock for the playoffs. One of EDM, LAK, CGY or SEA are not getting in.

It's a 5-game road trip. They are currently 2-0-2. So either a 3-0-2 (awesome), 2-0-3 (very good), or 2-1-2 (good) trip
