Nice to see that Oiler fans are still as delusional as ever.

Came home to find a 6-5 win in Dallas. Watched the condensed game on NHL.com and it was definitely one of those weird afternoon games.

Wedgewood was really, really bad for Dallas. Like abysmally bad. Vladar didn't seem great on some of his either. Chalk it up to afternoon oddities, but if that's Oettinger in net, we lose 5-3.

Take the points. That's a very good team we just beat on their home ice in the afternoon. I saw this one on the schedule and thought it was as good as an automatic loss as you can get, but we managed to get the 2 points. That's all that really matters.
Nah I still think flames could have found a way to win with Otter in net.

The comeback / collapse was concerning but honestly can’t complain about getting a regulation win in Dallas.

Duerr looks great on the 4th line, Dube is looking good, and the Backlund line should now be considered our #1 line.

Lucic is slow and has no shot, but you can’t deny he is a smart player and great along the boards. Like many I’d love to see a young guy (Pelletier or Phillips) get a chance on that line. But I can also see why the coaches feel the need to have Lucic on that line.

Something still seems off with our defence and defensive zone play. Have to think that Kyllington would make a huge difference back there.

Pretty sure the Flames would have won 6-2 if they really wanted to.

They just wanted Tanev to score the game winning goal!

Ruzicka is misplaced, should not be on the 4th line

I said this 8 minutes into the game.

Sometimes I swear the coaches have phoned eachother up and agreed to start backups.

I disagree with the intent. It looked like Vladar just tried to push off to make a save and the net came off. Weird one.
That actually looked really intentional to me. I thought it was, for sure, a goal.

I know Huberdeau has become the new whipping boy with that contract and what people apparently thought he was. But I absolutely love his presence, and without the stats handy he looks like almost a surefire point per game player once he figured things out here in Calgary.

I could easily see him being a 100 point player again in the coming years if Treliving can upgrade our top 6 forwards somehow.

I don't think Kylington is the answer for better defensive play.

He’d help with transition, that helps defensive play. Also really helps generate more chances off the rush.

Its laughable you can compare the mindset of either the players or the fan base of the Flames to Tampa. Pretty sure if we made the last 3 Stanley Cup finals and won 2 of them, the team and organization would be cut some slack.

Or any other place where hockey isn't the biggest thing in town, I said Tampa because it was a recent example. If the Panthers blew a lead and won 6-5 nobody would be freaking out...they have won one playoff series since the mid 90s. I am talking about the pressures and the fan bases.

Flames are 6-2-2 in their last 10
.700 hockey, 115 point pace

You would never know it around here lately
