I dunno. The complaining has been next-level this year. Goalie, new guys, coach, AHLers who don't play immediately, role players who play well but aren't shiny and new. It gets old.

look at it this way: you either need to reduce the goals against, or increase the goals for
asking this team to suddenly turn it on and be more potent offensively when it's been tough sledding there all year despite a high level of effort most nights seems like a tougher ask right now than simply starting vladar more and reducing the amount of brainfarts/gaffes against per game
it isn't sheltering the skaters of their roles in the losses, its identifying the easiest and most obvious solution that can yield instant results for them
for some of us this isn't blind goalie hate/blame just for the sake of it

Vladar settles the entire team down. Please Mr. Sutter let Marky rest a few games.

As much as Markstrom needs to be better, the defensive play has been this team's Achilles' heel.

I thought that was one of the better officiated games this season.

I’m still low key choked that part of the reason why Dallas finished ahead Nashville is because Tkachuk scored that last second goal against them to tie it and then we won in overtime after Saros got injured. Not to mention Nashville blowing a lead 4-0 against ****ing Arizona in their last regular season game.
It should have been Colorado against Dallas, and us sweeping Nashville instead. Then we would have played the Oilers with Tanev and Zadorov healthy.
But no, I’m not bitter about any of that at all…

Nice to get a multi-goal win and to see them keep climbing the standings. Also encouraging to see both Dube and Mangiapanne with production in the last games. The team has desperately needed more out of those two. Hopefully they get on a roll with the rest of the team too.

I wasn’t able to watch tonight but by all accounts we won the game. So in some ways you might say it was a moral victory. A moral victory and an actual victory.

Effort was good. Goalie was good. A Win was earned, and a Win was delivered. Damn good to see.

In Vladar’s starts, 11 of his starts have been against teams above .500, one against a .500 team that could go above .500 tonight and one against a bottom feeder. He is 5-3-3 against the teams above .500 and the starts against teams above .500 make up 85% of his starts.
The Flames have played 30 games against teams above .500 (70%) and are one game above .500 against those teams.
Real impressive stuff by Vladar, he only starts against good teams and his record is keeping the Flames above .500 against those teams.
