Can honestly say never remember a season with so many posts. Incredible. Would love to know if 50% went in feels like they would have 7-8 more goals.

An interesting approach to settling ties and eliminating 3-on-3 is to have a shoot-out at the beginning of the game and have a winner of the tie game pre-determined, but then only awarded a single point. Makes teams play hard for the win in regulation rather than playing for the loser point. So two points for a regulation win, one point for the predetermined shootout, and no points for a loss.

I think it's mostly a matter of placement. There's likely a lot of reluctance to place Pelletier or Phillips in a 4th line role that isn't there with Duehr.

Sure, but wouldn't it make more sense to try Phillips or Pelletier with Huberdeau and demote Lucic to the 4th line?

Eliminating the SO is a much more palpable idea IMO.

2017-18 (Gulutzan's last year) was very similar tbh. So many posts, or 40+ shot games without a bounce

Think team travel schedules and TV partner complaints prohibit that, they want their 3 hour windows for a game.
Its doable in the playoffs but not the regular season with more travel and back to backs.
3-2-1 point system is by far the easiest and most logicial solution, there is no real argument against it.
