If only she had consulted her Justice Minister, his expert opinion would surly have saved her this embarrassment. To stay onside the law you need to go directly to their driveways.

I assume she doesn't mean direct covid-19 charges such as failure to obey masking, close the business, etc and instead any charges resulting from "fighting the system".
Does anyone even have covid-19 charges anymore? I thought they were pretty much all dropped. And now the charges she's likely referring to are from the refusal to obey court orders, obstructions, and other "freedom" related BS?
Like Artur, even if his covid-19 direct charge was dropped, he's still charged with breaching an order to keep the peace and with committing mischief. You can't weasle your way out of that because you now think the whole thing was crap. You still broke the god damn law.

How is this any better?
In the span of what, a couple of hours, she:
1) Says she's directly talking to crown prosecutors about whether these covid cases are in the public interest.
2) The ministry of justice, in an attempt to defend her, counters what she literally just said, and
3) She's now claiming she no no doesn't talk to individual prosecutors, but rather their boss as to whether it's in the public interest re these cases. Which is quite possibly worse.

I actually thought she had done the smart thing and just shut up, but now here we are. I wonder how long she continues to take questions. Every time she answers, she digs a little deeper. I'm not sure her ego would ever allow that, though.

Are you sure? If I recall there were a number of posters who were quite vocal in their disapproval of the PM’s actions at the time. One would think they’d be just as vocal in this scenario otherwise they may come off as hypocrites who only care about complaining about who did something, rather than what they actually did.

Most of the right wing posters have long ago stopped posting or left the board. There’s a reason there’s effectively no real discussion on the off topic forum anymore . Just left wingers posting articles and having a chat amongst themselves and Yoho running the far right solo campaign
