if they keep alternating wins with otl's like they have I'll be more than happy .. just keep collecting points

work on the killer instinct part in the second half .. hopefully with the help of an addition or promotion from the wranglers

really only one regulation loss was deserved in the last 10 (didnt like the 3rd of the jets game). the Oilers one they played well enough to win so I don't have a problem with it

Do the Blues have anyone looking to score their first goal this year, or break out of a slump? I'm looking for my best bet of the day

I genuinely don't understand why Vladar doesn't play, except if Sutter is going to start him on Thursday and against Dallas.

I could see him playing Thursday but (IMO) zero chance he plays against Dallas

Why Markstrom? I swear Sutter makes some of his decisions just so he can do the opposite of what he knows people want or expect.

Eric Francis reporting Walker Duehr's family is driving down from South Dakota to see him play tonight (expecting him to play)

I admit that I haven't watched much this year. With kids and the state of the team, my apathy is at an all time high. Doesn't mean I'm not a fan, I still follow results closely.

Anyhoo I have vague recollections of figuratively shouting at the television when we had an offensive zone faceoff and tied or down by one and who jumps over the boards? The 4th line!

I've often wondered is that because they're so terrible defensively that giving them O zone starts is the only way to get their ice time in? They can't be trusted with last change in a tight game to defend well enough in the D zone.

If you give them O zone starts it gives the coaching staff many more options if it's a lost faceoff or a turnover or sustained O zone time or whatever. Makes sense why Sutter likes veterans like Lewis, Lucic etc that he trusts in those situations.

Man we talk too much about the 4th line.

If Sutter was upset enough with Markstrom's play on Sunday to the point that he called it out in the post-game presser then it makes sense for him to give Jacob the chance to respond ASAP.

Vladar is proving to Sutter that he can step in and up so I expect he'll get more starts soon.

Is it as frustrating for Treliving as it is for me seeing all our young guys tearing up the AHL and earning call-ups only to be healthy scratches? Give Pelletier a shot.

Makes sense. People are excited to see him play in the NHL where he could have an offensive impact. Duehr is anchoring the 4L. Less to be excited about, though we could be surprised and see him have a great night.

For all the people getting their gonchies in a bunch about Pelletier maybe they should read the article instead of the click bait twitter garbage.

"Pelletier did take turns rotating on the first line with Elias Lindholm and Tyler Tofolli"

Sutter is a monster trying to get him up to speed before throwing him into a top 6 role!

We will see, if I had to bet on it we don't see Pelletier get in the lineup anymore than Phillips did. Might get a game if lucky.

after sunday's lackluster start, i feel like this is a huge statement game against what should be a leseer team.

would also be nice to start increasing the gap over the oilers

Do you agree it might take more time to adjust and play in a top 6 role in the NHL than a bottom 6 grinder role? I certainly don't think Sutter has any bias and wants to see guys fail. If they prove they can hang I'm sure he would be happy to play them. Practice also matters and we don't get to see anything from there.
