Preview
Calgary at St. Louis

The Flames come into this game with points in 14 of their last 18 games, with a 9-4-5 record during that span. The injury-depleted Blues have earned points in 11 of their last 14 games, with an 8-3-3 mark in that stretch.

St. Louis went 3-1 on their recent four-game road swing, but they lost defensemen Nick Leddy and Robert Bortuzzo to injuries along the way. Both are questionable for this game.

The Blues were already missing defensemen Torey Krug, Marco Scandella and Scott Perunovich, so AHL veterans Calle Rosen and Steven Santini and rookie Tyler Tucker have been filling in.

"Our veteran guys really stepped up and did a job back there," Blues coach Craig Berube said after the Blues won 3-0 at Minnesota Sunday. "The young guys really did what they had to do for us to be successful."

Blues host the Flames after Schenn's 2-goal game

The teams meet Tuesday for the second time this season. The Blues won 5-2 in the previous matchup. Schenn led the Blues with two goals.

TOP PERFORMERS: Pavel Buchnevich has scored 13 goals with 21 assists for the Blues. Brandon Saad has six goals and three assists over the last 10 games.

Nazem Kadri has 16 goals and 15 assists for the Flames. Tyler Toffoli has scored five goals and added eight assists over the last 10 games.

This always seems like a tough building for the Flames. Hopefully they can keep this one close into the 3rd period as they need to make up for the lost point on Sunday.

I'm excpecting a good game from our boys after being embarrased by the Hawks. Kadri is probably going to get a lot of sht from the pathetic Blues crowd, I think it's going to give some spark for the Flames to shut them up.

Hopefully Binnington is in the net, he's been a trainwreck and Greiss has been pretty good.
I will not watch the game live this time, so the Flames winning odds increase severely by that. 5-4 Calgary

Like a lot of you I have very little faith in the team right now, which of course means they look great tonight and get the win.

These next two games against St Louis are crucial, a split is the minimum. Lose both and they are chasing St Louis too. Win both and they are 7 pts up. Big games, we will see what they are made of. They are supposed to be built for this!

6-2-2 in their last 10.
Why is there a lack of faith?

Another team depleted of their top or veteran talent. Missing O'Reilly, Tarasenko, Krug, Leddy, Scandella, Bortuzzo, Perunovich, Brown.

After the last terrible start they had better come out on fire and hammer a team missing some key players. No mercy.

It is odd, yet the same thing happened on Dec. 18 and 20 when the Flames played back to back in San Jose.

Would be nice if these “looks like they’ve turned a corner” predictions would actually come true instead of the 1 step forward, 2 steps back string it feels like they’re on. That Chicago game should have them all embarrassed.
They were also booed off the ice at home last time they played the Blues, so maybe that’s a motivator? The Blues have so many injuries on the back end, they should be in trouble. That being said, the Flames rarely seem to be able to take advantage of that.
Hoping for the best, but not really all that confident.

Just coming off the bad performance in Chicago. Sparked a lot of negativity, some PTSD etc

Not to be a debbie downer but over their last 10 they actually lost ground to the Kings and the Kraken. The reality is that if they don't start making ground those teams soon, they will be in tough to get one of the two wildcard spots especially when the Avs displace the Wild out of the Central top 3.

Positive note: Oilers lost last night. At least we will not be losing grounds to them.

Play Valdar, we may get a chance.

Well 6-2-2 is .700 hockey.

If they continue that things will work out just fine.

Really getting the feeling that every road trip now could make or break the season.

And gained ground on every other team in the west except Nashville

You honestly think .700 hockey won't get it done... because it will. The Avs and Wild haven't been keeping pace with the Flames in the last 10

He loathes Kadri too. It could be pretty easy to get in his head and throw him off.
