yup. I didn't like this game and I'm pissed at the result, but you also can't go off the deep end entirely

some people need to stop using every loss (or even goal against) to bring up 40 years of gripes they've had with the organization - which is literally what some do

a lot of people seem to suppress a lot of **** and use a seemingly innocuous inconvenience set them off the edge entirely

like when someone cuts you off in traffic. screaming and flipping birds is an insanely disproportionate response to the "crime" that was committed

we sure see the hockey version of that a lot here

and it's suddenly optimists vs inconsolable pessimists with what feels like an ocean in between

it's okay to be somewhere in between

for whatever reason the team prefers playing in front of vladar, and he's also been better than markstrom on the whole

I know they like going about things the hard way but at this point vladar should be used like a 1B, not a backup

I know what Sutter is trying to do and he wants to see markstrom find his legs and the team in front of him, but good things seem to happen more consistently with vladar in

also this game is in no way on markstrom, it is on team preparation

That Dube spot has another players name all over it… DD when he uses his speed is a force, sucks we only get it 1-2 shifts….if at all per game

Yeah I get what Sutter is trying to do, which is if the other team is starting with their most dangerous duo, put out a defensive unit and survive that shift, and then you have a better chance when you put your guys out there.
And tonight it worked for that first shift.
The issue was giving up possession on a low percent chance instead of hanging on and allowing your top guys to get on the ice.

To be honest I’ll be surprised if they win more than one game on this road trip

now watch Boston lose to Anaheim and 90% of people in here are forced to take pause on the "embarrassing loss" thing

every team loses to opponents they on paper should not lose to

key is making that an infrequent thing

Flames have beaten more basement teams than theyve lost to. the couple losses just stick out very clearly

I hope the Flames can prove me wrong.
This, I think, is what frustrates many of us the most.

I’m happy to have an ownership group that is willing to spend to the cap and seems committed to winning. However, I’m not sure they know what it actually takes to win. That or they aren’t willing to go through the hard times it may take to do it.

I genuinely wonder if their plan is to go through the rest of the season accumulating as many loser points as possible and if they get a win, great, if not at least they got something.

Its an entirely new and revolutionary way to play the regular season.

Sutter blamed Markstrom more than anyone...

Young player thing was about Dube, Mangiapane, and the fourth line guys...not Lewis

Flames are Stanley Cup caliber in playing down to their opponents. I know it's the NHL and any team can beat anyone on any given night, but Flames should win convincingly against bottom feeders more times than not. But it quite the opposite.

Fully expect when BJs come to town that Flames will probably be lucky to even get a point that game based on this trend. Incredibly frustrating as a fan since they should be better than this.

That lack of another top 6 forward due to the high end drop off is really apparent.

This isn’t work, this is professional sports with diehard fanbases. Get over it. Fans get upset when their franchise isn’t very good.
Oh I see, so you want me to give you permission to have a tantrum. Haha, I've been watching the Flames since they came from the old Corral. Sure call me irrational if you want, just because a group of friends act a certain way doesn't mean some of us have to act like that. Nice try though.

Sutter make any mention of his $6MM goalie that stopped 8 of 11 shots

Wonder what the loser point record is for a full season. We must be getting close.
