I don't know if this is 'hot take' territory, but we need a top 6 defenseman to replace Stone more than we need a top 9 winger.
Every time he's on the ice for a goal against, he's watching the puck instead of taking the open man.

Stone is a good 7 but not a good 6. He is best coming in with something to prove. For a guy his size he’s not physical and doesn’t clear the front well. And he’s the worst first passer among the D by a long way.
