Conte rotates team for first time in over a year it seems
Died spence still cant get some time, doherty played well today too, just woulda been nice to see spence
Sarr, skipp, and Gil all played excellent
Gil needs to play like this as long as deki and Richarlison are out
I'd imagine Spence plays Saturday? He's looked decent in the super limited cameos. Gil looks so good and if he could just add 15-20lbs it would be great.
I'm surprised that Southampton is as bad as they are. The bottom of the table is really something. That's a crazy group down there and it could be interesting right to the end.
Vialli's passing shocked me this morning. Not that he was particularly a favourite, but it's a strange feeling to see a footballer die, albeit young, who you grew up watching. First for Sampa and Juve when I used to watch Serie A, and then later when he made the move to Chelsea. Although he was in his 30s by that point, that move was big at the time as he was one of a number of big name foreign players coming to play in what was then a relatively small league populated by mostly homegrown players. They were exciting times.
Reading his obituary, I had no idea he was the son of a millionaire and grew up in a 60 room castle. By all accounts, he seemed like a lovely person.

Vialli's passing really makes me sad that Italy didn't qualify for the World Cup - would have been great to give him one last run as a coach in that tournament after he was really applauded for his work with the national team the last couple years.
And there’s the mediocre, Glazier funded striker replacement.
Quote:
United see Weghorst as an option to fill a void in the striker position, with the club deciding to only pursue loan deals during this window. It is thought that no permanent options are being assessed, even at low-cost.
Erik ten Hag is believed to be a fan of Weghorst, with the striker’s personality particularly apealling to United’s manager.
I don't get it. Marcus Thuram is right there ... he's still young, he's super cheap, he fits the profile and he can help now AND tomorrow. I understand that they're not going to invest a lot this January, given the sale situation - but come on, we're talking about ~10m here.

Well it wasn't exciting or anything, but Spurs managed to advance over Portsmouth and avoid the replay. I guess that's all the matters at this point. Spence got about 15 minutes...maybe he's heading in loan somewhere.
