Meh. The Dems don’t have to do anything for this outcome to pass. They’re not being asked to vote with the republicans to elect McCarthy. They literally have to do nothing nor believe any promises of outcomes, it’s republicans saying “ugh if this nerd wins we’re gonna vote with you to knock it down”.
I love flogging the Dems as much if not more, ok not more than rube, but more than most but this as posted isn’t a situation for it.

There would be 435 people using their own brains instead of being mindless robots. Very few people ever vote against their party. The Senate is no more of an anarchy because of Sanders, King, and Sinema than it would be without them.
