I've been looking for something that I thought would be easy to find, but apparently it isn't. A simple headphone stand with a wireless charger that can charge your phone. The catch is the phone should charge in an upright position (not laying flat horizontally). For some reason, almost no one sells this. I've managed to find a couple pics on pinterest for discontinued products, but nothing current, even on aliexpress!

Is it such a strange request? Somewhere to hang my headphones, and somewhere I can prop my phone up while charging.

The commercial with the guy bowling who sends someone 20 bucks for bbq because "he's about to get smoked". It's dumb. The guy can't possibly hear him. He's just going to get $20. And as a chirp it makes no sense; if you're the one getting smoked why would you need bbq? Also who wears headphones to bowl against someone? Isn't half the point that you're hanging out with people?

It comes on repeatedly basically every break during WJHC and it drives me nuts.

I also hate it for how stupid everything about it is, but I’d still rather see it than a sports betting ad every break.

But having so many repeating ads during sports events in general RGMG. Can’t we get some variety of dumb commercials? RBC can afford to at least make two or three crappy commercials to rotate, surely.

But you’re right, it’s strange. I thought I saw some a few years ago. One option is get a headphone stand with USB ports and connect your own vertical wireless charger?

Yeah, I don't want to criticise the mods, who do a great job overall, but having a swear filter on a forum full of adults is a bit strange. I think it can be removed and it won't affect the quality of conversation here.

They should change the swear filter so that if you don’t swear in your post the entire thing is filtered out.

And while we’re making changes, ban FOI guys who can’t hack it in OT, where the real action happens. We need to trim the fat around here.

I love the swear filter. It's such an old school villain-level feature. I've been intentionally swearing in my posts for several years now just to see it in action.

It's a minor thing, but I work from home, and the way the company has things set up, I end up having to use the microsoft authenticator 2fa app a few times a day. It would be convenient if it were upright, facing me, as it will use facial recognition to authenicate me, and I just have to give it a couple taps to proceed.

It's also more convenient to see notifications that pop up throughout the day.

I'd like it to look neat/clean as I'll be seeing it all day. Not that my desk is always a model of cleanliness, but I can at least try

I may end up just getting a normal upright wireless charger, and an undermount desk headphone holder. A little worried that it will need to be placed inconveniently far away, otherwise I may end up knocking into it with my knees.

This is good in theory but in practice we’ve seen most people here are capable of delivering an “I guess you don’t read good” at best.
