I was thinking the same thing. You have lots of good players, if this thing goes a long ways and you gas Bedard early you're going to regret it.

Terrible way to decide a Gold Medal game though IMO. Better than a shootout, but 5 on 5 OT is a no-brainer.

If they were playing for a shootout in a game that has no shootout I agree, they definitely deserved to lose.
