I just finished season 1 of the White Lotus. Pretty good but the soundtrack for the series was top notch terrible!

Naw, he's right. The intro for season 2 is still ground in my brain, because Crave put the "skip intro" button on my TV(not on the phone). I have no idea if I am alone on this, or if they just never use their own app...

I agree. The music on White Lotus was awful, especially the theme song. I know HBO has a history of really long opening credits, but usually it's a good song at least. I couldn't reach for the remote fast enough when the White Lotus theme started playing.

It wasn't just the intro! It was terrible throughout the entire show.
I seriously turned the volume down to min for the final 2 episodes and turned on subtitles.
Tell me Season 2 is better or i'm going to give it the Cassie Campbell treatment. Full mute!

LMAO, I actually enjoyed the theme music and score. It sets you up for the show as the music produces apprehension and anxiety in the viewer, while also putting you in an island or tribal vibe.
Season 2 had much better score work (and camerawork too, my god! so beautiful), but I fully understand why people would hate it. It's definitely off-putting at first.

Not on purpose. Like, I might hit play and go grab something while it ba da bu boom's through, but if I'm sitting on the couch I'm hitting skip intro every time.
Them re-using the intro song for HotD was a major cop out.

Yup, they can spend millions on costumes, actors, CGI dragons, but they couldn't drop a few bucks for a composer to make something new? It's, like, the soul of the show. Probably worth it.

But y'all skipping the Lotus intro are missing all the juicy clues about who's gonna do what during the season. The goose making love to (raping?) the woman is key to this season's theme...
The thing I don't like about the HotD opening is that it's just visually not that interesting. A bunch of blood flowing between gears and you can't even tell the difference between each of them. The GoT opening changed depending on episode location and status, and helped refresh your memory on where everything is geographically. The blood river thing does none of that and whatever it's trying to communicate, it does a poor job.

After hearing a lot of good things about the show over the years, and because it happened to be airing on crave, I watched the first episode of Friday Night Lights.
Didn’t last five minutes. Not sure if it’s good but the Jason Bourne shaky camera garbage gave me a headache.
Literally the worst filming technique of the last 25 years. What a mess.

Anybody trying out Kaleidoscope on Netflix? Apparently you can watch in any order except the last episode and it doesn’t change the overall show experience.
It has Gustavo Fring! I’ve taken down two episodes and it’s pretty good.
