I think staying there accomplishes nothing, he's in the hospital and induced so let the doctors do their thing, and go be with family seems like the better thing to do. Not sure it means anything to his condition being bad.

I would think a lot of players would want to stay there if he had a good shot of pulling through in any kind of meaningful way and help support his mother who is there with him. It's probably silly to speculate based on limited information though.

Both could be true - the support personnel and equipment could go back, but the players and coaches could easily stay.

It's still a hospital after all and he's in ICU, they aren't gonna let 50+ players and 30+ staff just stick around waiting for news, and they were flying home after the game anyway, the logistics of staying in Cincy might be pretty difficult.

Going to age myself, but this was very similar to the Reggie Brown incident wirh the Lions probably 25 Years ago. Still vividly remember the Lions WR Johnnie Morton running the stretcher out to the medical staff as they were doing CPR. Crazy that game continued that night vs the Jets.

Bills are flying home, sounds like the logistics of getting the whole team hotel rooms last minute could be mostly impossible.
It's a short flight, and they could even fly back in tomorrow if the game happens tomorrow.

Reminds me of the Chris Pronger incident. Seemingly innocuous plays, both players get up and then drop after a few steps. Hit to the chest at the absolute weakest point of a hearts beat?

What's crazy about this one though is how young this man is. Only 24, I sincerely hope he can continue his career. Seems like a legitimately decent human being.
