Brentford have now beaten United, City and Liverpool. Drew with Chelsea and Tottenham (and they really should have won that one too after being up 2-0). Incredibly impressive stuff.

All we heard about post Utd Brentford game was how Martinez was too small to play CB yet here we had 6'4" Konate bullied by 5'8" Mbeumo for the last goal.

Gakpo might turn out to be a great signing, but when your midfield stinks as badly as Liverpool's does, to not make that the #1 priority is a pretty interesting choice. Seems like they really are banking on getting Bellingham to solve everything.

I really don’t think signing Gakpo has any impact on potential midfield signings. Firmino is out of contract in the summer, so that is just getting a replacement in a bit early.

Bellingham would be great, obviously, but I think we’ve already missed the boat on that one.

I dont know whats going to happen with Bellingham, but the midfield needs to be sorted out, and frankly, so do the tactics.

VVD looks like he's lost a step since that knee injury and even without that, he's getting older.

He cannot bail out that high-line all the time anymore, so that line has to come back a little because with the midfield losing the pressure battle you get forwards coming at you with speed and that ball over the top.

And then what should be calm, routine defending is either last-ditch or a complete calamity.

Cristiano Ronaldo could play again in the Champions League after all - with Newcastle next season. That's according to reports which claim the 37-year-old has a clause in his Al Nassr contract which would allow him to join Eddie Howe's side on loan if they make the competition next term.

Both teams are owned by the Saudis.

Honestly, I'm hoping he does and it's maximum chaos.

There is no way it wouldnt be maximum chaos and I'm here for it.

Imagine if its Man U that Newcastle bump off for 4th and Ronaldo plays the entire next season in Newcastle?

Obviously, in real life that is a 'pie in the sky' throw-in contract clause, if it happens then great but nobody is counting on it.

Eddie Howe probably read that in the news and threw up a little in his mouth.

Lampard's gotta be ####ed now, right? Everton down 4-0 at home to Brighton with half an hour left.

Lampard and Moyes are almost certain to be sacked by the end of January in my opinion.

Lampard out and Dyche in? Probably quick so they can get him before West Ham.

I don't know about that. Newcastle defended well - you can see why they've conceded so few goals this season.

Yeah, Newcastle are difficult to break down.
Hoping we would capitalize early but it seems less likely as time went on.

Looking at today's & the next 2 fixtures vs Spurs & United; I was hoping for 7 points.
Would be very happy if they pull that off.

You're easier pushovers than I. The jersey pull, and then fall on Gabriel is a clear penalty.

Conte rotates team for first time in over a year it seems

Died spence still cant get some time, doherty played well today too, just woulda been nice to see spence

Sarr, skipp, and Gil all played excellent

Gil needs to play like this as long as deki and Richarlison are out

Southampton look like Championship fodder under Nathan Jones. Can't see them stay up.
