For a year where the draft is supposed to be generational, this tournament has largely been very have vs. have nots. Too many blow outs. This is one of the few games where the score has been close but even then Canada looks pretty strong. It's more interesting when the talent is there but when teams like Germany and Switzerland are being blown out, it really takes away from the fun of it. By the way, why doesn't Russia have a team?

I think it has actually been a pretty even tournament overall. Yes there's a huge discrepancy between the very top and the bottom teams resulting in blowouts, but that's not unusual. Each of the top 4 ranked teams have suffered a loss, but to further expand things the top 6 teams in the tournament are playing a pretty close caliber of hockey and the Czech and Slovak hockey programs are continuing to look better and better again with every year, the Czechs with a win over Canada and the Slovaks with a win over the U.S. included. The eliminations are where things get really fun anyway.

Yeah it's been pretty even all things considered. I think that while Canada is a step above, all of Canada, the US, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia and the Czech Republic could beat one another on any given night. That's not something you can always say for this tournament for so many teams.

Why are the Slovaks still getting so much ice in the attacking zone? Tighten it up!

Brandt Clarke is a really skilled defenseman, but his ability to think the game is really lacking.

They've been doing that to Bedard all night.

Wright has looked pretty good when he has time to maneuver around guys his size and weight. The NHL game is so much tighter and tougher which is why he probably hasn't fit in at all.
