Dodgy online food order websites GMG
Order a pizza for pickup at a certain time and because its busy prepay when you order.
Order gets rejected because they are too busy - even though they say the payment went through, they will reimburse in the next day or two.
Alright whatever, really wanted pizza from this place(Talked it up to visiting friends)
Order again at a later pickup time.
Minutes later, receive a payment order confirmation for a double order because seemingly both orders got combined. Payment accepted
Immediately phone the joint and get on the fourth try

I get it, I used to work busy places, but you have to address your customer concerns and also stand behind your system of ordering. If It's just online, you better make sure It's robust enough to tackle the volume.

I don’t understand the concern? They do a CC authorization on the order attempt but don’t submit the capture/process step since they didn’t fulfil the order
The auth “locks” the funds until cancelled or processed. Now most places have real time so the auto is cancelled if the order isn’t processed (or amount changes like with a gas station pre-auth or assign a tip at a restaurant after the fact ) , but they may just let the auths expire which auto cancel

Yeah. I got the confirmation email on the decline.(also saying I will get refunded ASAP) I don't know. They had an option of delivery but that did not go through as well. He told me there should be no option in the first place.
Went to pick the pizzas up and despite me trying to rectify over the phone, that my order was doubled, they handed me four pizzas. I told them I only ordered/wanted two and explained it over the phone. There was some back and fourth. He then told me he would refund, but it was only partial. I said fine I'll take all four but never come back. He then caught me in my car and gave me the full order refund. I argued that all I really wanted to do, was pay for two. He was having none of it and even though I got four pizzas for free, was left kind of unsatisfied.

Yea 10 years ago it was legitimately one of the best pizza spots in the city, now the quality has taken a nosedive with how rushed they are and the customer service is non-existent. I don't understand why the owner never tried to open another location or at least move to a larger building, seems like he left a lot of money on the table

That's how they make their money to stay open because most of those people keep paying their membership each month.

Another win for the home gym. Only one dumba$$ in my gym taking up equipment while mailing in a “workout”

You don’t see us complaining when you’re getting fat at our pubs, taking up valuable space.

If we're flooding the pubs doing everything wrong and not following establishment etiquette, please feel free to complain about it because it'd be warranted

Oh but the pub people are equally as bad. Not showing up for months on end then packing the ####ing place on St Paddy’s day and getting white girl wasted, puking everywhere, not respecting the servers, getting in fights because they can’t hold their liquor. And god help us if it’s in a pub with bar service. A bunch of rude jackasses budging to the front ordering cocktails holding up the line then not tipping.
I’ve been drinking at this pub 4 days a week for a decade and you’re just gonna show up five times a year and treat it like your own personal Mardi Gras/bachelor party.
This also applies to any pub in the belt line for the entirety of stampede. ####ing amateurs.

Yeah that's brutal, I'd hate that too. But it's only 1 day, surely the regulars can manage one night away from their favourite watering hole. Imagine if St. Paddy's Day lasted 1-3 months straight..that's kinda what it's like at the gym this time of year.
Ninja Edit: And not trying to dump on people trying to better themselves in the new year, but January is annoying at the gym. It just is. It's prime complaining about it in this thread time

Just "teach" the resolutioners the importance of compound exercises like dead lifts and squats. That problem will solve itself on their first PR attempt.

Last two days all my muscles and joints in my limbs have been almost debilitatingly painful. Except basically for no reason. I haven’t really done much physical or been exercising, but I’ve barely been able to get out of bed I’m so sore in my legs especially. I thought maybe Covid at first but my rapid tests came back negative. Obviously I’ll make a doctor appointment if it continues tomorrow, anybody have any ideas.

Lots of possible causes, mostly minor but some serious and you should most definitely see a Dr fairly soon.
