Crazy that they signed this clown to 8 mill till the end of the decade and might lose Horvat because of it. It's not like this behavior was new or anything. Clown organization.

Really really happy to Weegar finally get rewarded with a goal. He is the complete opposite of JT Miller. A high character player and teammate.
I think he cares and tries so hard that he might be trying to hard to produce that mistakes happened. This should allow him to breathe and just play likes he does. Thought he was fantastic in the game vs Edmonton as well.
We might have some of the worst luck. Missed open nets and posts every single game. I swear we should have 10-15 more goals as a team and the critics would shut up about Huberdeau production.

this is encouraging to hear
it does feel like the individual parts of the group are figuring out how to fit into the larger group and system but lately without neutering their own strengths
I feel like there was a lengthy Sutter adjustment period for the new core players .. and now they've moved through whatever mixed feelings they may have had about it and are focusing on hockey

Hindsight, I kinda wish they did put it on, so the whole bar can laugh at how stupid the Oilers are.

I don't know if I've seen a less excited person to score than MacKenzie weegar last night though lol

He said he didn’t celebrate because he thought it would be called back on an offside

Great game flames! Kadri was dangerous in the offensive end.

Man, ever since the Oilers series it's been such an emotional rollercoaster as a fan. I hope this is a start of consistent ups with less downs. GFG!

I’ve said it before. It could be argued that the oilers series showed that the group of players we had wasn’t going to “get it done”. That made the big changes in the summer easier to handle, for me anyway.
That said, after all those changes, you had to think that it was going to take some time for everything to come together.
The team has looked much better over the last 1/2 dozen games or so and they are improving.
I’m pretty sure we are witnessing this group gelling.

The big difference maker will be if the team can start capitalizing on the chances that Huberdeau is starting to generate.
This team plus an extra goal a game or so will be dominant.

What did they play as Weegar's goal song? I can't make it out on the video.
