Walters was a groundbreaking journalist who also conducted some of the most offensive and inappropriate interviews I've seen.

Both can be true at the same time.

For someone with her journalist and interview experience she always came off a little dim and naive to me. It led to some silly opinions and embarrassing interview moments.

Although one of my favourite (I'm not faulting her on this one as nobody in media would touch it) was Norm Macdonald ****ting all over Bill Clinton on the View.

I agree. She was both a trailblazer and a product of her time who perpetuated negative stereotypes and protected abusers. She also was manipulative and sensationalist as an interviewer. But it’s maybe a bit of a stretch to compare her to a pope with ties to the nazis and who protected child rapists.

When I first saw that I wasn't wise to the fact that it was a total troll job.

Norm was just on another level.

Jeremiah Green, co-founder and drummer of Modest Mouse died, aged 45.

Very sad to hear this. One of my favourite bands of all time.

He was only just recently diagnosed with cancer.

https://pitchfork.com/news/modest-mo...en-dies-at-45/

He was also a member of Red Stars Theory and Satisfact, which were both decent bands back in the day. I am surprised he was only 45, because if feels like Modest Mouse has been around forever.

I didn’t know where else to put this but Jeremy Renner is in critical but stable condition after an incident plowing snow.

Using a snowplow can be dangerous if you put your hands in there to dislodge snow. My neighbor lopped off a finger doing it years back. Gruesome. Beyond that I don't know what could get him in critical condition. And it look place down south which I'm more curious as to why he'd have a snow plow for one day of snow?

He has a place in the mountains near Lake Tahoe. They get a lot of snow. I really hope it wasn't this snow plow he was driving on his property last year: https://www.instagram.com/p/CXprZDUgoRZ/

Dont know exactly where this is, but this is where he lives and thats way more than one or two days of snow.

Could be in the mountains as well.

I assumed it was a truck with a plow on it, or maybe an ATV. Lots of ways you could get hurt doing that.

Didnt an NHLer get hurt doing something similar? I think it was someone in management at the time but the name escapes me.

Cool, I thought it was Sakic but wasnt sure if it was Yzerman.

Snowblowers man....the silent...the very loud killer.

That being said, I have never, ever, ever been inclined to stick my hand in there. It comes with a little stick for that.

But you may break the stick if you do that.

Report is he ran his legs over with a snowcat leading to major blood loss.

https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...-b2254738.html

Quote:
Mr Renner was ploughing the road around a quarter mile from his Nevada home to get his family out after a snowstorm on New Year’s Eve.

The plough, a Snowcat, accidentally ran over one of the actor’s legs, despite a large array of safety features, leading to major blood loss, a neighbour said according to the outlet.

Another neighbour, a doctor, put a tourniquet on Mr Renner’s legs until the arrival of paramedics. Police arrived at the scene around 8pm on Sunday night, impounding the Snowcat, which the actor has shown himself using on social media.
