Bigger question, how did his opponent and the DNC fail to uncover this during the campaign? Nobody called Goldman, the schools he claimed to graduate from or followed up on any of his claims? I heard his opponent, possibly on Pod Save, complaining that he kept reaching out to the Party because he suspected Santos was lying, but FFS, have an intern call the schools and ask if he was a student.

We got to see every other modern President's returns so why not Trump's? I will say I'm not entirely happy that they got released this way but it's good that the public finally gets to see them.

They really should have all elected officials but more important than tax return is to ban elected representatives and their relatives from holding anything but index funds and other non company and sector specific investments.

I think they should make a US Progress Fund that is like an index fund except it's returns are determined by how well America is doing in all kinds of metrics. Life expectancy goes up? Fund does better. More women die giving birth? Fund does worse.
Link returns to better outcomes for Americans.
Then that's the only thing elected officials can invest in.
