Huberdeau had a bloody nose after his goal. Looks like it was from Lucic's bicep during the goal celebration. Funny.

It’s a random sample but over the last 17 games:

Lindholm: 17 points
Huberdeau: 16
Toffoli: 16
Dube: 15
Kadri: 13

Hopefully top 6 can keep that up.

For comparisons sake as well:

Gaudreau: 20
Tkachuk: 16

So Tkachuk started off super hot, but over the last 20 or so games now it’s started to equal out among the outgoing stars that left and the current Flames.

That's certainly encouraging. Hopefully it's a sign that the new players and lines are finally starting to gel together. Would be pretty sweet for the Flames to make the playoffs and Tkachuk miss the playoffs with the best coach he's ever had.

Tkachuk has 3 points in his last 7 games. Gaudreau has 3 in his last 6.

With Huberdeau, the issue looks 100% like it's adjusting to the flow of the Sutter game. Sutter has a system where 95% of the time, players are just playing the defensive system, and then they have to spring into action and take advantage of great opportunities.

Very different than Florida, where it was all offence all the time.

Things are definitely looking a lot better for Huberdeau.

Huberdeau's defensive game has been strong all year...now that he is putting up the points too things are looking up, one poster said it would take 30 games or so, seems accurate

Huberdeau is a pretty likeable guy. He's becoming a favourite of mine.

Funny how the game winner comes off two guys who absolutely need to shoot more.

Andersson actually taking a slapshot from the point, and Huberdeau actually shooting from the slot.

Funny on the slo-mo you can see Kadri open on his forehand unmarked at the side. The extra pass might have worked as well in that instance. Still can’t believe Huberdeau didn’t bury the chance earlier in the third from the same spot with the goalie on his stomach.

Andersson could shoot a little more but he does have 26 points, I think people are being a little hard on the guy...especially on the PP

I think it's fair to forward some criticism Andersson's way on the PP. He is having a great year but when handles the puck overly long on the PP it seems to reduce the powerplay's effectiveness at generating good chances. He's not always doing it but when he does overhandle it, it appears everyone else on PP1 also does it.

I need to take a look back at that.

Cameras, with their angle above the ice, show a ton of net.

What the puck would be able to see of the net (should it have eyes) is often a lot different.

That trapper out in front of the pad can take a surprising amount of net away from a puck in tight
