Ha! He was my favourite character from the hearings. I hope he gets more roles.

They are protesting because their team didn't win the election and they aren't very smart.

First it was the yellow vest protests, then the convoy. Same idiots who confuse not liking the PM with oppression.

They want Trudeau to step down, they couldn't give you a clear reason why either.

I wouldn't want to stand outside and protest for 4 days in February in Winnipeg.

I think the locals would welcome the occupation.

Trucks running 24/7 throughout the city in the middle of February? That's gotta warm the whole place up. Warmest winter Winnipeg will experience in a generation!

People like Yoho must be creaming their pants when these protests are announced. So many fun things to do:
  • "DOWN WITH SOMETHING SOMEHOW, WHATEVER IT IS"
  • regular citizen walks by: "LOOK, A LAURENTIAN ELITE"
  • incessantly honks horn:"I'M A FREEDOM FIGHTER"
  • opens unemployment cheque:"WHAT'S A RESUME"
  • gets arrested for public disturbance:"I CAN PEE WHERE I WANT TO"

I really hope Winnipeg hits a cold snap around the time of the protest.

If they stick around long enough they'll get to live through flood season, then top it off with bug season.

Honestly, I don't have an issue with it if they stick to the 4 days that they are saying and they don't interfere with the daily lives of citizens trying to make a living. As much as I think their cause it dumb, they have a right to demonstrate peacefully to bring attention to their concerns. Just to be clear, I do not agree with their concerns at all.

Lol!

First of all, let me just get it out of the way, I agree. They have the right to protest peacefully as long as its all nice and legal and express their concerns even if I personally think their concerns are idiotic.

The Devil's advocate in me says:

"I want more protests!"

Because very clearly our Law Enforcement agencies need to get some 'Protest Management' experience under their belts. They need some practice, because they are not good at this.

We're not Americans. Remember when there were those protests in America where they were protesting Police Brutality?

And what did America do? They just got it together and went out there and beat the ever-loving S### out of them even harder!!

We're not going to do that. So our Police need to know how to manage protests.

"Waiting around and hoping they get bored or tired or hungry or cold and meander away on their own" is not a viable strategy.

Moving their reunion party to Winnipeg shows how much of an irrelevant fringe group they’ve quickly become. “Hey, it sounds like we might get in trouble if we do that again in Ottawa so let’s go occupy somewhere where far less people will care!”

I saw somewhere the organizers said this was a gift to the people of Ottawa, which brings about a couple questions:
a) How does that jive with so many of the protestors claiming they were peacefully gathering and singing Kumbaya?
b) Are you proud of being someone whose lack of presence is a gift to fellow Canadians?
