Man, that sucks.

Yesterday I avoided a work event in a pub because they are rammed. The odds are through the roof that some ####ers will be there with all kinds of illnesses.

I got Covid on Christmas Day last year. I’m not going through that again.

I’m living like a hermit until Christmas Day

All of these F* <whatever thing> expressions are tacky and trite. It kind of goes without saying.

Do you think you’re bound to be driving by some some pro-cancer supporters and you need to let know that you’re against it? Or you’re concerned that people may suspect that because you’re not displaying some anti-cancer messaging that they’ll mistake you for one of those pro-cancer jerks?

And why focus on the disease itself? Maybe try being an empathetic human and put a support ribbon on your vehicle to show you support cancer victims and survivors.

Making it about cancer and doing it with a #### cancer sticker screams “I think I’m edgy” but don’t actually care about people.

Yeah, we already went over this a while back when I first brought up the idiots with curse words on their vehicles. No one likes cancer, it's a terrible disease and it's universally understood that it's incredibly tragic and unfair.

Emblazing your vehicle with curse words proclaiming F Cancer does zero, nothing, it's a useless gesture. If you insist on stickers how about a hashtag or website url to raise awareness and direct people where they can donate? That would at least be useful.

I've mentioned this before, but I think you have to have cancer, or know someone with it to understand those stickers/shirts. It isn't about telling the world anything, it is for them. When you are powerless against an invisible disease that is taking your life, having one thing you can control, saying "#### cancer" is just a little cathartic.

So instead of looking on perplexed, or bothered, maybe take a sec to have some sympathy for what they are going through. I can guarantee you, it isn't good, and they don't give a #### what you think about their sticker, because it isn't for you.

I've known people with cancer, I've lost family members to cancer. A good friend of mine lost his wife to cancer just 2 weeks ago, I sat with him for hours grieving with him. I have a decent understanding.

It's how a person decides to channel this energy, there so many more useful ways to express yourself and actually do something useful. I counter that anything else could possibly be much more cathartic.

That's the thing though, for some there is no energy to channel. This is not only the least they choose to do, it's the most they can do.

Dude, I'm in the middle of this right now. My mom has stage 4 cancer and I'm literally her only immediate family member (aside from some elderly sisters in other provinces). It's all on me to help through - what are likely - her last few months. And it ain't fataing easy.

The "#### cancer" stickers make we want to drive these people off the road.

First of all, they're super tasteless. I swear all the fataing time. I probably say "fata" on here more than anyone and in each instance it's when I'd use the actual word in real life in the normal way I speak. But writing it out and putting it on my vehicle? That's pure trash. It'd be like saying it loudly at a nice restaurant or something...just totally off-putting and cringe.

Second, yes, we are all going through stuff all the time. Life isn't easy for anybody. But I don't need to share Mr. Dodge Ram's pain due to his obnoxious sticker because I have my own pain I am dealing with. I don't feel like we're brothers in arms because of the sticker; I feel like he's broadcasting his trials for attention. Just totally classless to insert your difficulties onto the general populace.

Finally, if I'm driving along listening to my music maybe trying to sneak in a smile or a bit of peace into my day, I don't need some giant tacky stacker some inbred white trash look-at-me guy put on his vehicle to slap me back into reality. How about I choose to think about cancer on my own time, not when some tit forces it upon me.

Then don't put one on your vehicle.

If it helps someone deal with their cancer or a loved one's cancer then who am I to tell them not to do it.

It doesn't hurt anyone if they put a ##### Cancer sticker on their car.

Nope, I'm doubling down. A brick through the window of anybody with one of these stickers. A label attached will say, "#### you! from UCB".
