Good to get the win and take care of business with teams below us in the standings. There’s no easy nights in the NHL and they did what they were supposed to do. Next game is going to be a lot harder but these last two have been fun to watch. Let’s keep rolling into the holiday break.

Has attendance been that bad all season in San Jose? I don't know what the "official" numbers were, but that arena looked 2/3rd empty for the whole game. Is the fanbase there that fair weathered?
Or was this just a case of it being a weekday game, against a Canadian team, less than a week before Christmas when people are too busy?

A lot of good things tonight. Obviously Lucic looking totally refreshed. I wonder if getting the scoring drought fixed has given him more confidence. He looked like a totally different player. Really liked Kadri tonight too. His wrister is something to behold.
I also thought Markstom looked really focused and was solid. Hopefully this is something to build on. The pad save he made just before the 4th goal and the way he directed the rebound out was critical to setting up the play that led to the goal. Maybe it was just luck, but it looked intentional to me.

I have a friend that lives in the area and went to the home opener in San Jose he said it was just over 50% full. The attendance there is relatively garbage
