Throw a Hail Mary! Gargle saturated salt water! Take cold/flu medication and get well rested!
Sorry to hear. Illness sucks.

They told us to get an epi pen just in case but didnt specify. My kid got tested by Dr. Doctor.. LOL
He never advised sensitivity training or anything like that, so I'm prone to not try and do something dumb to my kid and just follow his advice about aversion for now

No no no. You want them healthy to bring you food and hot drinks, then go to Christmas functions and leave you in peace.

I'm pretty sure way more people dislike olives than like them. In North America, at least.

I don’t know. If they were more disliked, then I’d expect fewer olive bars in grocery stores and jars on the shelves. They’d have the grocery store footprint of marmite or capers or something.

Frankly I'm more than a little offended you wouldn't blindly take my terrific internet medical advice, but you do you

Was this the jacket discussion thread?
I just saw a guy indoors wearing his winter jacket like a backpack/cape. I was tempted to ask him what his CP handle was.

No place should have their heat 15 degrees warmer than it is outside unless they have a place you can put your coat.

Can you imagine working at a store and being told they have to keep the temperature at -15 because your customers don't have somewhere to put their coats?

My wife’s warm parka has inside straps to wear it like a backpack when you are indoors.
Olive (green) hater here, the texture of them I don’t like, and the taste isn’t the best but mostly because of for one of those PTSD like stories:
As a kid I didn’t like a lot of things and relatives would be nice and make me meals I liked. One such dinner the great aunt made ham which was/is my favourite. Towards the end of the meal my dad was trying to get me to try an olive. He ended up bribing me by giving me a dollar to try one. So, I did, it was gross, but I got it down. Minutes later I threw up my entire dinner. I have always blamed it on the olive and avoid them still. (Just like Jagermeister)

I love olives, but if you put one with pits in a salad, you can straight to hell.

It's always been both. People post their gear grinders, then we get 2 pages worth of debate about whether it's a valid gear grinder or not.
There are few posts in the GMG threads that get unanimous acceptance.

It’s only great if you took the bus or walked to the store. I am not wearing a coat if I drove and will only be outside from between the parking lot to the front door.

I am just taking the piss.
Obviously folks working would suffer, but that doesn't stop sweating my ass off wearing all my winter gear in a store/ bus that is 25 degrees when I am dressed comfortably for -30.

My skin is starting to get that ultra-dry feeling where I can feel it almost cracking when I stretch. My hands are turning white.

I was in Playa del Carmen for two weeks and it was a glorious 30 degrees every day and my skin was loving it. For the two weeks after coming back, I was in dry skin hell no matter what I did to moisturize. My skin was equal parts dry and acne ridden, like it didn't know what the hell to do with itself.

That's your skin throwing a tantrum. Your skin was finally where it wanted to be all nice and hydrated and then you abruptly came back dry skin country. Even my face starts getting the flakes. I hate it.
