This program seems to be gaining popularity; has anyone here committed to it?
I have been looking for a decent pull/chin bar for years and just heard about the PX90 one recently. I used to like to do wide grip chins and this one looks like it allows the width to do them.
Has anyone seen the bar sold separately anywhere? There's a store in Ontario that will ship it but it totals to $82 and that seems a little steep.
Has anyone tried one of these? It looks close to the same premise but i wonder if its cheaply made. There's also the Iron Gym.
The P90X also uses resistance bands, which I've never used. Any advice on these?

Yes, this works, it is the real deal. As with any program, you need to stick with it. You will see results at the end of 90 days. They are hardcore exercises and it works.
Workouts are about 1-1.5 hours a day. There is a nutrition plan that comes with it. Changing your body requires diet and exercise (and good/lucky genes).
Keep in mind that this it not a program that will make you large or bulky. The routines only require some simple weights and a pull-up bar. I recommend the pull-up bar that they sell as it gives you a wide pull-up grip. The Iron Gym does not give you wide grip. they are both about $30, go with the Beach Body one. Trust me. Bands are an option, but I like using weights.
I have tried it and believe me, I got pretty fit. stopped for a few months, now getting back to it. it takes time. It may take you more than one round of 90 days to get to where you want to be. If you got the money, get it. Totally worth the $150-$200, versus the $30+ a month you would have to pay a gym

I have also used this. It is absolutely the real deal. I was hesitant at first, but after my Uncle, Cousin and Brother all did it and saw results I figured I'd try it as well.
It's pretty intense, especially when mixed properly with the nutrition plan. The first phase (named the "Fat Shredder") is easily the hardest. I prefer to do the workouts in my own home with simple weights/pushups/chin-up bar etc so it's perfect for me. Not only that, but the workouts are geared towards cardio as well. Not only are you doing muscle work, but your heart rate is constantly up. One workout in particular (Plyometrics), I burn about 1000 calories.
Definitely worth the money.

I am starting it this week, just waiting for my chin up bar to arrive. It is the real deal, my buddy just finished the first 90 days and he tightened up big time. I'm already lean so I am taking the program with supplement use to help put some muscle mass on. It can be done it just requires larger weights as you start adapting and for pull up exercises you can get ankle weights and really feel some extra burn.
I have heard the best results come out of the Ab Ripper program, 3 times a week and very painful exercises. Oh yeah and eat a lot, diet is important, need to make sure you are getting enough calories in and no junk, the diet plan is good but I think it's more oriented to those looking to cut weight.

I have the whole DVD set ordered online last year that I'm willing to let go for $85 if anyone is interested. It is basically brand new.
It is intense, and will definitely give you results if you commit to the program.
Send me a PM.

The website is free, but you either need equipment/home gym setup at home, or pay for a gym membership that allows you to do olympic lifts in order to do the workouts.
P90X requires a TV/DVD player and a chin-up bar.

Yeah, it is the real deal. You can get good results too, if you're willing to commit.
It also has the benefit of someone telling you what to do each day, and leading you through the exercises. If you're new to eating right/working out.....I say go for it. It'll teach you a lot of important stuff that you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Doing pushups, pullups and stretching with surgical tubing is not rocket science. Nor do you need an expensive program with a new-age sounding name to do any of this stuff.

Actually, either way you still have to create a program and a schedule, plus you have to learn proper nutrition.
That information IS on the internet, available for free, but it takes time and effort to learn about exercise/nutrition/etc, etc.
This program does it for you. And it is well worth the money.

exactly I'd sooner spend a $150 on this program and gear then spend $2000 on gym equipment, and I would never be accountable to a gym membership. This program is a great fit for lots of people.

Check redflagdeals for the latest prices, there's a big thread over there about it, along with a bunch of pictures of fatties turning into fitties.

I've never used that particular chin up bar but I had a door frame one a few years ago that absolutely destroyed the door frame of my apartment. I bought a self-standing pull-up/dip station shortly after. I would recommend something like this if you could.

It is the real deal, although there is a large lifestyle commitment - your day is pretty much built around eating properly, sleeping properly, and getting your workouts in.
I did it for a couple of weeks, and I saw results after the first week. I stopped because I'm a lazy bum, but damn does this program work good. It is worth the money for sure.
