really sad to see the frustration of the wonder twins after getting beat by the Ducks, its almost like they feel that they cant outscore that great defense they have. another minus night for the 9 million dollar man on D.

Uh oh for Klingsberg. Matheson advised that if you do something bad to the oilers, they don’t trade for you.
Congratulations to all of the Klingsberg family!

Klingberg knows he's likely to be traded at the deadline so he's just making sure it's not to them.

What did Klingberg do to the Oilers? Had to miss the Oilers lose today which is terribly disappointing as I love watching a good Oiler loss.

I was explaining to my wife (who is not a hockey fan and has a passing interest in the sport at best) why I got such a pleasure out of watching Edmonton lose, which boils down to "they have 2 good players but can only win via the power play, so they are a team of divers. They really drag the sport down."
She turned around and said "Oh, like the Canuks, when they had those twin brothers?"

Then it clicked for me. "Yes, yes, exactly like that."

4th goal for ducks in a 7 goal game.

Why would Skinner extend now? If he continues to be their starter he should be able to ask for more than backup money.

Because he knows the track record of goalies in Edmonton and how quickly they get destroyed. Need to lock it in long term before the wheels fall off and the puck PTSD kicks in.

.915 behind that defense and he can’t even get the Koskinen? Fire your agent.

and if he signs for too much, ala Koskinen, he significantly decreases his chances of getting a fresh start elsewhere.

But coming from Edmonton, he would be a shoe in for the Masterton and after a three year stint would still be 27. Pretty much the same path taken by Talbot and Dubnyk.

His numbers could easily go down the more he has to start though. More time in net for the Oil doesn't do any goalie good. If I'm him I sign now, but for a way bigger amount.

i thought he would sign for the minimum just to keep playing with a leader like 97, you cant put a price on that.

Pretty wild that after such a terrible start we're only 1 point back of the high flying Stanley Cup bound Oilers.
