Nope - small market Canadian teams can’t be giving away firsts. None of these contracts will look good in a couple of years, and we ain’t a contender in the meantime.

Alot of people with their head in the sand IMO. We consistently see Sutter guys play ahead of guys who take chances and try to get creative. In Sutters mind were not checking enough in dump in situations to create the offence. He said as much in his interview on TNT during the Canucks game (God is TNT a 100x better production than anything we get up here).

Like was said earlier. Tkachuk was a checker. A skilled one. Gaudreau was small but able to go into hard areas and fish out pucks and carry the puck. As much as youd think they werent "Sutter" guys their skill sets really were suited for what Sutter preaches. We cant undo the contracts we signed to the new guys, we can do a redo on the coach though.

Would love to see a Treliving presser to get his impressions on why the team is garbage.

Would also be interesting to know how ownership really felt about a rebuild last summer. With the arena sitch etc.

Ruzicka must've made some inconsequential mistake, or taken his foot off the gas for a second. You have to work with the young guys, not make them scared to make a mistake-see: Connor Mackey.

For those wanting Sutter gone.. how many more coaches does this horrible GM get before he is also fired. That must be an NHL record.

The only thing I can say about this game is "never in doubt". It's amazing how different this team looks this year. I don't even know what they can do to 'fix' it. Hopefully they figure it out. If they don't I hope they start with a new management team, and a new approach towards building a team.

I don’t see Sutter going anywhere unless he steps down once it’s clear the team will not be in the playoffs.

Brad’s contract is up this year and there hasn’t been any rumors of him re-signing. So he may as well be gone in the offseason

I wasn't paying much attention, what did Rosie do that deserved benching? And why was Lucic the double shifted? I'd rather Zahorna the one double shifted. He was play well the last two games, and once he's saddled by Lucic, he couldn't do anything.

"I have as much to blame as anyone else"

Guarantee that is what will be said.

Oh and listening to Derek Wills anytime he gives his analysis is head smashing.

Step 1 is to fire Treliving. Let the new GM come in and clean house.

It was a mistake to not replace Treliving after Gaudreau left and Tkachuk said he wouldn't sign here long term.

They gave Treliving a chance to swing for the fences and it looks like he whiffed hard.

Terrible business decision by Edwards.

one year of suffering and then there would be hope

instead we sign all those big contracts, still suffer this year but no hope

Exactly my point. It's frustrating to see the negative bias towards the younger guys. I'm with you too, Zo should've seen more ice, but he was benched too.

There is something to be said for this take, pissed off as I am at the crappy play.
