Deep analysis.
When one of your players was 3rd in the league last year, and isn't in the top 100 this year, it isn't a talent issue.
We literally had these exact same discussions a couple years ago. The Flames were struggling, and some fans said we lacked talent. Then they played well last year, and apparently we did have talent. Now they are struggling and once again don't have talent.
It's more complicated than that. They are struggling, which causes hesitation and doubt. And then you're dead in the water.
