Go Flames Go! I’m visiting from Australia and attending my first regular season game in over a decade! Hoping for a big win with a fun crowd at the dome.

I don't mind the lines for tonight actually.

Dube - Lindy - Toff (Dube makes up the speed which should create more space and better for puck retrieval)
Huby - Naz - Mangi (Huby has more creativity mindset with Naz, Naz could also bring the puck better than Lindy/Toff, and Mangi is always in a shooters position for Huby dishes)
Rosie - Backs - Coleman (Seems to be working)
Looch - Zoho - Lewis (big bodies with Zoho being quick for puck retrievals, Zoho and Lewis played pretty good together

Only thing that scares me is Mackey and Stone, both slower skaters but thankfully they get limited minutes

The thing I like about Huberdeau with Mang is that Mang shoots the puck from any position very quickly when he receives a pass. Tofolli has a great shot but he needs time to set up, Mang will shoot either way, which would work better imo.

im willing to see huby and Kadri together but why put dube where ruzicka has proven to be better suited

I don't really know any more with this guy
With Sutter you only get to skate forwards after you prove over and over and over that you can skate backwards. My dad had a saying..."it's a fine line that divides stubborn and stupid". Sutter likes to undo and redo in the mould of how he sees the game, guess what? It ain't working, Sutter hockey needs to leave the building.

this team needs more leash to be creative

I think there just isn't a lot of enthusiasm on the offensive side of the puck and it comes back to the group of men behind the bench and the box they're trying to cram this group of guys into and it's sucking the offense dry

given that the quality of defensive coverage has been generally poor anyways, they might as well try to spark a little more room to roam on the other side

these guys need to have more fun out there

maybe, if they tried that, the players will reward them with more inspired effort on the backcheck, who knows..

I think Trevor Lewis will play every game this year barring injury. He was one of the most important bottom sixers on those old Kings teams and built a ton of rapport with Sutter

Lewis is fine. There's really no reason for him to come out.

Oh the ironing!

(hint: you've been... shall we say... a tad stubborn with your Sutter takes)

Just don't see it.

Coaches at this level have systems in their own zone, systems for transition ... an insistence of support with a high F3, forechecking rules for F1 and F2. Pretty much every team is the same with a few wrinkles.

Almost no one tells offensive players how to play offence.

They either do it or they don't have the talent to do it, which is back to the GM.

If you can't play and find an offensive spark, or exuberance in a system that requires some two way responsibility you're not an NHL hockey player.

Too bad that Lucic has a NMC, could maybe use some time in the minors to get Rooney going (as Rooney only has one assist in 4 games down in the AHL).

He told Brad he'd only be off a bit this year and he'd be much better next year.

IDK might have had something to do with the all time single season assists record for a LW.

More primary assists than McDavid last year

Because Brad Treliving is the worst GM in the league - maybe ever! - and the Flames are a terrible organization that just wants to wallow in mediocrity forever.

Is that what you're looking for?

He promised Brad he'd get him a Popsicle after he signed the contract.

(Can he rescind his own contract?)
