This one I think is 'Too Big to Batgirl.'
They have spent a TON of money on this.

DC's survived 55+ years under WB stewardship, I'm sure it can survive this.

And in those 55+ years they: didn't trust Richard Donner on the first Superman movie and removed him halfway through Superman II only to have a steep decline in quality for Superman 3 & 4. Removed Tim Burton from making Batman movies after Returns only to have a steep decline in quality for Forever. Removed Snyder after BvS only to have a steep decline in quality in Justice League. Didn't have a Superman movie between like 87-2006, cancelling a Superman movie by Tim Burton and Nic Cage . Gave us a lackluster Green Lantern film, only had one JL film, cancelled one that was going to be made by George Miller. They also didn't trust Joker was going to be a hit so they co-financed it only to lose out on hundreds of millions of dollars.

It's pretty wild. Why do they constantly green light these off the wall ideas and then back out.
It's like they have two separate departments in charge of these decisions. They start making these movies without knowledge from the top, and then some crusty old exec loses his crap and shuts it down?

If the MCU can grab Cavil I wouldn't mind a big 5-10 entry villain/anti hero arc like Hiddleston or Majors. Doom, Sinister, Ares, come to mind as options.
On the hero side, I think depending on how things go, he would make a good Hank McCoy. could probably use his real face a few times before they go mocap with the character.

Cavill as the next James Bond set in the 1960s. He was already a finalist and lost the role to Craig once. Plus he’s shown he can play old timey suave in that movie with the cannibal guy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cavill is attached to star in and executive produce a new series based on Warhammer 40K, which is currently in the works at Amazon. THR reports that Amazon is currently in "final talks" to acquire the rights to the game from owner Games Workshop following a competitive bidding war. No writers or showrunners are currently attached to the project, though Vertigo Entertainment is attached to executive produce alongside Cavill.

This is huge. Warhammer has a massive following world wide and has never been adapted to the big or small screen. Cavill is a huge fan and advocate for the game, talking and posting about his miniature collection on a variety of platforms. Set to star and produce with a personal message from his Instagram promising fans he will be staying true to the source material (obvious shot at The Witcher show runners) and is excited about the partnership to bring this to life.

Never considered this before, but IMO Cavill could make an excellent Dr. Doom.

Not entirely true. There have been animated adaptations done over the years, just nothing live action.

Dunno about Doom, with the face covering all the time.
But he'd make a very imposing Sinister, and go in a direction that MCU villian's haven't before.

Yeah, I want Doom to be in a mask 99% of the time. I know it won't happen if they cast a big star. Among a lot of things, have Doom so visible in most of the original FF movies made him a much less intimidating villain.

Then it either has to be Karl Urban or Pedro Pascal

What about Magneto?

So Doom will be played by the stunt doubles and most of the performance will be VO work?

Isn't that how it is already with the Marvel stuff being mostly CGI?

I think it's a mix of some mocap too. A lot of the costumes are painted on digitally but for somethings they'll still have Tom Holland et al in a mocap suit or dots.
You're right though, a lot of the fighting is all digital.
It's different than what happens with Mando in that the dude in the suit usually isn't Pedro unless he NEEDS to be there. For example, they were shooting Mando S3 at the same time as Pedro was here filming The Last of Us. So He'd just go into the booth to do the ADR later.

The Rock has unfollowed the official Black Adam and Warner Brothers accounts on instagram.
I am assuming he is the next to part ways. This is all for the best. Gunn needs a clean slate to really put his mark on it.
I am assuming though that he won't be rebooting Peacemaker.. or Suicide Squad? Or does he decide to clean slate that as well but keep the Peacemaker character cast the same..

Theres a difference between a 'clean slate' and 'razing the place to the ground and salting the earth.'
