Good point on the non-call behind the net.
Someone posted in the GT that it was a 'game management' call, which that was absolutely not. It's a blown call, nothing more and nothing less. A foul leading to a turnover that results in an immediate 10 bell scoring chance absolutely has to be called. I really wonder if Montreal has scored, he would have pulled the trigger and called it. It's one of those penalties that the ref is totally allowed to make a late call on.
Fully expect he got an earful about that after the game.
Really liked Markstrom's game. He looked tall and square to the puck tonight. Haven't really seen much of that from him so far this season. His rebound control was excellent and to my eye, seemed to be tracking the puck well. Even though he didn't get a win for his efforts, I hope he goes to sleep tonight satisfied with his effort. Definitely deserved better than a SOL.
Hope Tanev is ok. That was scary. Really wish guys would cover their faces vs turning their heads.

His performance last night was the best of the season by far which is encouraging but two games is a small sample size to assume good Markstrom is back. It's a good start though.

I think the sputtering Markstrom is the smaller sample size since he's come to Calgary.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Yes, but not this season or post Edmonton series more specifically.
But very encouraging.

He's now up to 12th in goals saved above average in all situations.
Thrown to the wolves in back to back games will do it I guess.

Smaller like 60/40 not 90/10
First year not so good
Second year most very good until the Oilers series
Since the Oilers series, mostly very bad

Not sure any goalie would be 90/10
Guessing the better ones have something like 65% of starts above .900?
