Banned already maybe? They’re on my last 10 visitors but when I click their name it says I don’t have permission to access that page.

If so, much love to whichever mod handled it. Appreciate you!

EDIT: looks like the CPCult account also visited Macman’s page, so maybe based on FormerPres and undercover’s comments it was possibly that poster using a new account.

EDIT EDIT: Alright, not banned, still sending me sad messages lol.

I posted a DM that I got from Macman. I got an infraction for posting his DM word for word. He’s the one sending offensive attack DMs and I got the infraction.

People who hate people who buy expensive clothes are miserable people. Usually quite homely too.

I don’t know about this argument. Where something is manufactured shouldn’t have a huge bearing. There are people who’s jobs are to travel to and live where manufacturers are in China, Vietnam, etc to ensure that quality standards are up-to-par. Now if you have cheap labour and no QC, then sure, you’ll probably end up with very poor quality stuff, and something like your iPhone would fall apart and burst into flames after a couple of phone calls.

Toques are horribly overrated. A hoodie underneath a heavy winter jacket is the way to go all day every day. That way if it's cold throw the hood up, if it's warm, drop it down.

No annoying toque or headband to carry around.

Nothing wrong with buying expensive, nice looking clothes, but conspicuous consumption is going overboard.

Whatever that means. Nothing wrong with wanting to look nice. Canadians are very poorly dressed enough as it is.

Buying Canadian is more ethical than buying from China.

Of the nicest dressed people I have seen traveling anywhere, none of them were in a CG coat.

You don’t know what conspicuous consumption is?

Oh yeah, I’m more on the side of CG not being so great myself. It’s too conspicuous .

Was your point to do with product quality or ethics then?

Honestly given the incredible investments in Asian manufacturing, there is usually better quality coming out of China or Vietnam at the mid range and above.

People scorn Chinese quality because of the low quality goods flooding out big box stores.

Most of my stuff is made in the USA, but I have bought suits from Suitsupply which are made in Vietnam and the quality is fantastic.

Please tell me you wear a helmet in the winter instead of a toque.

It’s the subtlety of your act that I enjoy.
