8- 12 in their last 20.

Not a very good hockey team right now

There is a mountain of evidence that suggests this club is nothing more than mediocre.

Things can change of course but the body of work speaks for itself.

No idea why its so hard to admit.

Figures that the guy who kept the team alive in the 3rd is the guy who takes heat after the game.....

I don't the anti-Stone sentiment that a number of posters seem to have. Is he perfect 100% of the time? No. Does he make a mistake from time to time? Yes. But the same goes for every defenseman in the NHL. No defenseman is flawless. I haven't seen any evidence that would suggest that Stone shouldn't be on this team. Your top guys are Tanev, Andersson, Weegar, Hanifin, Zadorov... that means Stone is the #6 guy unless/until Kylington returns.

It's ludicrous to suggest that Stone is in any way shape or form dragging the team down.

If anything they should have used it as extra motivation to win it for Chris.

there is potential to grow but the longer they go on without banding together and taking a step the more they are settling into this just being what they are

they have to take both interest and initiative in improving or they will not amount to more as a team this year than a group of underperforming former stars with no identity just hanging on to the playoff bubble

sure, maybe the coach grates on you with his ways .. I imagine he does for the induviduals that are coming from more relaxed and offensively minded systems, but ultimately this is up to the players whether they want to actually become the sum of their parts and contend for something or just get through another 82 games of hockey

I've yet to see the "want" factor .. of course they want to perform better individually (that was obvious tonight) but do they want to be a successful group that works together and is cohesive? they look more like a group of individuals as someone else said

try working together, and having fun doing it

Sutter is really pissed in the post-game. Imagine what was said in the locker room. Only had nice things to say about Markstrom and Tanev.

Did he single Tanev out as well? Thought I heard him specifically mention “Tanny”.

Sutter should be pissed. He just saw his team struggle to move their feet because their priority was getting drunk with the other teams best player

Huberdeau frigin sucks. Bad at all ends of the ice. That contract hurts now. Can't imagine what it looks like 5-8 years from now.

So many dumb plays by Anderson, stone, weegar.

Coleman has gotta go. Good 3rd/4th liner, why the f is he making that much dough.

Glad Phillips didn't play. Only guy on this team worth watching most nights is ruzicka.

Flames really gotta sell high on lindholm. He's highly average without elite guys around him.

Sad team. Hope the give up 10 tomorrow vs the leafs. Garbage team.
I did the same. Can tell this team cannot pull off a win facing adversity. This team is a mess, no less. I will be watching the FIFA World Cup tomorrow and will skip the hockey game to save my time.

He said "except Tanny" IE: all the D were crap except for Tanny.

"other than Tanny, our D was not even close to being in sync"

Looking at the schedule and how the goaltending has improved I think they are easily in the playoffs. Every betting site agrees. If you do t that's fine...time will tell.

No idea why its so hard to admit.
Context maybe...I was being called out for my strength of schedule take so posted the record since said take. It's going how I thought it would so far.

Game thoughts:

Markstrom was pretty good. Not amazing, but made some big saves to keep his team in it. 2 breakaway goals isn't anything to be ashamed of.

Horrible game from the Flames almost all night. They had a good first, but then lost the plot completely, but there was a reason for that which is my next point.

Holy ####, referees, calm down. You don't need to call everything you suspect might be worthy of a penalty. The 1st was fine, but from the 2nd on almost any contact that limited a player's progress was a call, whether it was truly a penalty or not. ####ing referee show tonight.

Hanifin had a ####ing horrible night

Rasmus Andersson is a legit #1 d-man in the league.

Zohorna looked really good in his limited time. I think Darryl needs to give the kid a bit more ice time going forward.

Put Phillips in the ####ing lineup dude. Your size bias is stupid. The team needed his creativity tonight.
