It was weird to me that he was signed on day 1 for two years. after johnny walked, really though it was rooney's team from that point.

Rooney has literally been below replacement level his entire career. A general manager should have known this.

Every year the GM is likely going to have one acquisition go bad. Last year it was trading a 4th for Pitlick and a cap hit that I think was 1.75 million...this year it's the Rooney signing.
Really not bad...much progress since the James Neal mess!
