Again, I think it's pretty suspect that the company doesn't have a DEL. Also, why are they looking to sell drugs in Canada when Turkey is allegedly struggling with it's own drug shortages? Those are likely knock off effects of currency valuation craziness for the Lira, but it still seems suspect that these drugs are not being used in closer markets.
https://bianet.org/english/health/26...rugs-increased

I was able to acquire a DEL (for different products) for a chinese manufacturer with relative ease. It seems pretty strange that we just needed to call the right factory to fix this supply problem.

The strange right-wing nutjob connection to Dr. Oz is... comedic? But also adds to the troubling nature of this all.

And still not approved by Health Canada. Doubt we'll see these on shelves before the near year.

They should experiment 700 doses on Yoho to make sure it's safe.

This is a prime example just like with Covid, lockdowns and other things where the Feds let the Premiers do the heavy lifting and they sat back and handed out chq's and programs mostly.

I mean surely there can be a handful of areas where the federal government can take a hand and show some actual change and impact in some capacity for now and the future? It's not even about spending money but reducing barriers entry, streamlining, thinking outside the box, changing immigration rules or certification etc.

The same thing is happening with the supply chains and general inflation. We get talking points about how concerned they are with things and how they are investing in the middle class etc but is anything actually happening of value?

It's wild what is happening in this country across the board
You can't have it both ways. I'm sure you'd be first in line to give them credit if they did manage to make some meaningful improvements.

Alberta's affluence and young demographics should make our healthcare easier to manage than other provinces...if our gov't had any interest in actually doing that.

And to follow up that Iraqi Information Minister propaganda, here's what really matters:

https://twitter.com/user/status/1600858316347170816

Well, Eric Grenier, noted nose-counting guru, says the NDP’s 10-point lead in Calgary is an election-winning one for that party.

Putting the poll results into a projection of who would win what legislature seats, the result would be the NDP with 46 seats and Smith’s UCP with 41.

The NDP would win 21 out of 26 seats in Calgary.

In the last election, the NDP won only three in Calgary.

I don't doubt this, because Smith has been horrifically bad. But at the same time, I don't think that Grenier has a great "record" when it comes to predicting seat counts or things like that? I could be wrong, but that's why I thought I saw a few years back.

I heard the new ad campaign for Smith/UCP on the Fan yesterday. Basically it states “she has learned a lot and you need to give her a chance, no one cares more for Albertsons than Smith”.

A unique campaign but she wasn’t elected so it makes sense. UCP knows they are not in the drivers seat for the upcoming election

Well they rammed through 3rd reading of the sovereignty act last night, so next step is royal ascent? It's a good thing Albertans support this so strongly.

####ing embarrassing. Emailed my MLA again.

Finally got tired enough of the UCP to set up a monthly donation to the NDP. This is madness.

I don't know if it is meaningful at all but not even half the MLAs bothered to sit through the third reading and vote on the bill including about 30% of the NDP MLAs. Seems like no one really cares about this.

1:00 in the morning might had something to do with the attendance.

Shouldn't all the MLAs be doing their jobs especially when it comes to important matters like this though regardless of if it happens at 1 in the afternoon or 1 in the morning? Not bothering to go through the process and vote one way or the other seems like a dereliction.

To be fair, 100% of sitting NDP MLA's who could vote still wouldn't be enough to prevent its passage. It's just a symbolic protest vote.

I'd ask WTF is the rush? Why only an hour debate on something so important?

Ah the UCP... this isn't the first time they've rammed #### bills through at wee hours of the morning to minimize any possible attention. Consistently doing this shows they know exactly what the public majority thinks of their anti-democratic, dictatorship values - and also shows how much they completely disrespect Albertans as a whole.

Credit where it’s due, so far I’ve no reports of ear plugs being handed out during the debate.

It’s pretty sad when that’s the most positive thing that can be said about what a ruling party is doing.

The bill was further neutered. I am not sure what additional powers are now granted by the bill to cabinet, will refrain from further comment until i read the full text, but I am unsure how much different this would be from using the notwithstanding clause.
