Vladar would have beat the Habs....
but I like Markstrom's support for Darth. Lets hope he is content with that for 40 games this year.

Montreal should have been a 6-2 win for the Flames, Markstom took way too much heat for that one
he let in a bad goal, Vladar did last game too he just got run support
That's not to say Vladar hasn't been the better of the two this season because he easily has been

Horrible start. Great comeback. Powerplay is finally coming to life. Dube, Mangiapane and Huberdeau also coming to life. Gutsy win by Vlader.
Lots of positives. Have to keep up the good habits.

Vladar deserves a lot of credit. I hope Markstrom feels some pressure coming off him knowing that he can be in a rut and the team is in good hands with his back up. Markstrom hasn't been great on the ice this season, but he has been a great team mate and I am sure he will get his game back.
I think having a healthy defense is a big factor too. No offense to Gilbert and DeSimone, but the regular NHL guys are regulars for a reason. I know it is probably coincidental, but it seems like the team wins more when Stone is playing.
Really nice to see Ruzicka add to his points. Leads the team in PPG at the moment.

Hmm. Only one team has won more home games than the Calgary Flames!

So who are we dumping from the 4th line?
Players should've supported Markstrom by playing on front of him like they do for the back up

He took heat because he's been terrible this year. If he would've been playing good leading up to that game, it wouldn't have been a big deal. But he hasn't so the microscope is on him.

After that first period, I expected a blowout by the Wild. Great comeback by the boys!

I for one would like to pat my back, as I was always high on Ruzicka. Couldn’t understand why he wasn’t getting more games. I did not think he’d have this much offensive upside, but I thought he was always effective and had a high compete level. Really enjoying watching him come into his own.

Solid win! Started out pretty rough and can only imagine what the GT was like. Great to see the team not only fight back, but seal it at the end.
Beautiful game by Andersson. One of his best I've seen as a Flame.
Vladar is our #1 and I don't care what anyone says.

Stone is better than the other options, but still the weak link. He had a rough night last night.
That coverage on the 2nd goal was terrible.

So is Ruzicka a fortunate hockey player or is he a guy that just has a nose for being in the right spot at the right time?
Two more assists ...
1) He loses the puck completely and Coleman scores
2) Great stick on the forecheck, but then Coleman makes a great pass to Andersson.
Ruzicka is +3.01 in goals over expected goals this season (only Stone more fortunate).
Great players out score their expected rates, most other players don't.
Interesting to see what they have here.

I always think there's something to be said about riding confidence and the "hot hand". That's what's going on with Ruzicka right now. I doubt he will look like this 100% of his career, but he's showing that he can definitely gel in a top 6 roll on either wing.

by the time I was in my seat we we were down 0-2...5-1 the rest of the way. I think I've learned a lesson here, just not quite sure what it is yet

I think the assist on the Coleman goal was well deserved. He might not have made a creative decision to set up the goal, but it is an example of how getting into the blue paint creates opportunity. You have to be willing to take some punishment to play that game.

Me too!
Why was every road towards the Dome total grid lock? Roads were clean, no accidents, yet every route was totally jammed. Added 33% to my commute time.
