This is the biggest statement of the year. Earlier in the season we would fold after being down 2-0 so early in the game. Vladar showed some promise with some key saves. Ruzicka has been phenomenal. True testament to seaosning in the AHL and translating his skills and abilities to the NHL level. I hope Phillips is seeing this and still has hope. Great comeback win.

Flames might have something with Ruzicka. Kid is blowing my expectations out of the water.

Back to a positive goal differential for the first time in a few weeks. Maybe the team has turned a corner?

Two guys that Jiri didn't believe in: Adam Ruzicka and Rasmus Andersson.

Just didn't think either had it in them based on what I saw early on. Didn't seem to be willing to put the work in to become a good NHL player.

It would be such a nice surprise if Ruzicka turns into a top line player.

Just noticed Ruzicka ended up getting credit for an assist on the Andersson goal. Deservedly so. He created that play.

That was a good game! Flames struggled out of the gate, but battled back - which just wasn’t something that was happening earlier this year.

Happy to see Vladdy get another W.

I was always in Camp Kylington rather than Camp Andersson. It’s pretty great to see Andy develop the way he has (I also think Kylington will be our #2 LHD for a long time - that was a good draft considering we didn’t have a 1st)

Definitely possible. Would be even better if he turned into a 1C.

Default [PGT] Happy 35th bday to me

That first period was not pretty. But great start to the second. The power play in the first looked really disorganized, but the second was much more crisp. I don’t like Kadri on the PP despite his goal, he has such terrible vision. He’s best when he’s driving rushes, but I don’t like him trying to pass the puck.

Andersson is just awesome. I loved him when he was found trolling the Oilers a few years ago, but that goal was just something else. So calm and nonchalant, he is so wonderful when he’s on it.

The interaction between Vladar and Markstrom was so good. Markstrom has obviously really struggled, but he’s still such a good teammate. I also noticed Vladar screaming for coverage later in the 3rd during the Wild PP, took a while but finally someone drifted over to cover. The guy at the bottom of the circle was wide open if he got the puck .

And with that assist Ruzicka now leads the team in even strength scoring. In 10 less games.

He is the offense right now.

Honestly, I’d love it if they tried Ruzicka on pp1 in Kadri’s place. Kadri isn’t great at making quick passes.
