Yeah... you need to watch this. It's SO good.

Firefly. Made it a couple episodes in. Never caught the hype.
I find it kind of hard to believe that people don't stick with this after the pilot, which is amazing. But the meat of the show is actually episodes 6-10.

I've tried and failed to watch Deadwood twice. If I get desperate I'll give it another go.

Same with the wire. It just seemed like actors acting like how they think cops act.

The second season onward was still very good, bit I inexplicably couldn't stick with it. I want to say I just lost interest in that genre, but I'm not sure. It's not like I disliked season two, I just kinda found myself distracted all the time while watching it, to the point I dropped it and never looked back.

I've been poking around the Cyberpunk genre which has made me think of Orphan Black again. Maybe I'll poke around it again during the holidays and see if I end up binging the remainder of the series.
I actually just recently finished Orphan Black after years of hearing how good it was. I definitely liked it, but it can suffer from the same holes other Sci-fi shows like Lost had. There's always another mystery or secret organization higher up the ladder. And while I thought it was a good show and had a satisfying ending, a lot of questions were disregarded to wrap it up.

It's definitely carried by some brilliant performances and demonstrates Maslany's range.

Shame.

Maybe give His Dark Materials a try, it's back for a 3rd season.

Well real cops seem to think it was pretty accurate

In all honesty I can legitimately see people not liking Deadwood though, it's basically the closest TV has ever come to Shakespeare. Plenty of people can't sit still for Shakespeare. I mean they're wrong, obviously, but that's the way it is.

I'm giving up on Man in the High Castle.

It's just... weird. Not what I was expecting.

Watched Obi Wan, Mandalorian and Boba Fett, but not likely to watch further, especially Boba Fett

…you abandoned Clone Wars???? Most of Season 1 is actually a pretty bad representation of where that show gets to, but as a Star Wars fan…you have to go back.

I accidentally broke my experience with this series. Amazon lost my spot and I kept getting confused where I was before. After watching like half a dozen episodes out of order trying to figure out where I was, I gave up. I read the spoiler filled synopsis, washed my hands of that series and wandered off to play Wolfenstein.

I accidentally made the series a worse chaotic mess than the chaotic direction that I heard it actually headed. It was bizarre watching a bunch episodes accidentally out of order only to figure out those episodes weren't necessary at all for the story.

Eh... Someone needs to just do a curated version of this that cuts out all of the unnecessary stuff. There are probably ~25 episodes total that are actually "essential" to get basically all you need to out of that show. In particular the last 4 are incredible but the entire rest of the 7th season is completely unnecessary and some of it is actively bad.

It's too bad about Man in the High Castle as it had legitimately one of the best characters in TV. Rufus Sewell as John Smith was outstanding in spite whatever else you may think of the series.

Are spoilers allowed in this thread? I'll tag it anyway but:

Spoiler!

Some great moments in the show, but overall a flop IMO.

PS: Great cast choice for the actor who played old Himmler. Almost scary how accurate he was.

All very good points, but I did love how Calgary got a cameo...

Spoiler!

Curb Your Enthusiasm. There's only so many times I can yell at the screen and get so worked up. I hope it's not really how Larry David lives his life because it's exhausting!

I think final season, in the big German headquarters room with the large map over the conference table.

I gave up too. S1 was awesome. S2 decent. Went downhill quickly after that.

Yeah I only watched season 1 and a few episodes of season 2. I signed up for alternate history, not sci-fi
