Is this the Huberdeau we will see for the duration of his contract? I don’t see that extra gear like he had in Florida. Yes, he has the assist tonight but I want more than what I’m seeing for over 10 million.

Yeah, that game stands out in my memory as well. Give him a good team and he might be one of the better goalies in the league.

I prefer Blasty to the Pedestal RRs. The retro home reds are the worst by a fair margin. I may even rate an Oilers alternate jersey ahead of the Retro reds, they are that bad.

I’ve seen you post things of this opinion a number of times now and it’s puzzling. Is this a shtick? The retro reds always have always been and remain the best unis the Flames have ever had and it’s not close. And putting any coilers uni ahead of any Flames uni…? He is adjusting to the speed, or lack thereof. Hands down the guy is friggin awesome, maybe not as a Sutter coached Flame...would be a total waste and a shame.

I think we all should be prepared that there is almost no way Huberdeau lives up to that contract and we likely all knew it the day it was signed. It was more about protecting assets in a brutal position post trade to make sure the trade was worth it.

He will be good still for a few years but people have to be realistic, he’s gonna be overpaid and it is what it is.
