Stoppage time is very discretionary. Totally depends on how the referee perceives it once the amount has been determined.

I wasn’t watching close enough to give a precise answer, but added time is a minimum, so if there was any time wasted during the 2 minutes it might have caused the ref to add on a few more seconds. Or like you said, the ref may have allowed the attack because it was developing so quickly. If Senegal gets even one tackle in there somewhere the half would have ended.
