Backlund has been the best player so far and it's not even close

He protects the puck well in the corner and doesn't lose the physical battle. That dman bounced off of him.

Huberdeau has yet to put up a game that is in the neigbourhood of Backlund's best 3 performances this season in the way of dominance

mind you Backlund us a center but huby sure seems allergic to moving the puck himself

I also think Lindholm should get traded while other GMs think he’s a strong 1C when he’s basically Backlund with better finish. At his inevitable $8 mil extension he could probably bring back better assets if you can find the right package for him.

I definitely like him though, it’s just assets that could be put to better use.

The Capitals play by play team are awesome. Equal time for both teams and they talk alot about Calgary to inform the Washington fans of things going on. Really enjoying it

I agree Markstrom hasn’t been great this year but my God, he certainly hasn’t had much help. Our pop gun offence is a serious problem. There isn’t a single dynamic goal scorer that they can rely on (we lost the only two we had) and the team has really lost that “tough to play against” reputation, especially at home. Not trying to be a downer, especially after bread finally scored so apologies if I’m dragging things down!

Can Huberdeau carry the puck through different zones without spinning around?

Oshie so overrated… one 60 point season in his career and he’s talked about like a consistent 70 point guy
