Boy did it feel great to get that goal.

Keep your foot on the gas in the third.

The fact that trading is even a option of discussion here shows how critically flawed the Flames organization is at development prospects that graduate. No wonder this franchise has been so mediocre for so long. If you can't grow your own crops, how you gonna eat?

Very borderline interference which I am very happy they let go. The usual suspects would be beside themselves if they had let that go.

You play the game that is called. Goal Flames.

Not to mention that they have not given a drafted player a chance to win a Calder Trophy since Gaudreau - 8 seasons ago! Even Tkachuk wasn't PP1 as a rookie. All the others they've essentially taken rookie qualifiers away

You can bet with that “missed call” it’s gonna be PK central in the 3rd for Calgary so hopefully Markstrom shuts everybody up here.

Obviously, the Flames ownership, down to management and coaching are all on the same page that the youth never be given chances in the organization. It's basically an organizational value. This definitely makes the mosf sense.

The team would be better and would save $375k on the cap.

Surely there is some middle ground between what the Flames are doing and how the Oilers roll Dylan "two way beast" Holloway out to the slaughter. E

That non-interference call is usually the call the Flames get called against them. Shocking it wasn't called because so much ticky-tacky stuff has been called against them all season. Take it, take the goal, and hopefully build off it. I suspect this will be momentum changer. Will it be the Flames building off the break, or the Canadiens building off the non-call they felt went against them? We'll find out in the first couple minutes of the third.

They’re obviously trying to save cap space for the trade deadline. Phillips won’t be called up until we have a major injury.

Really? Looks like he has a modified no trade clause, not a no move but I don't know for sure.

Looking at the standings and I think it's interesting to note. With the Canucks already giving up 3 goals tonight there are 5 teams in the NHL that have allowed 90 or more goals so far. And all 5 of those teams reside in the Pacific Division. Bonkers how weak the division is so far.
