This is on the verge of being something pretty special. Who would have imagined we could be so close to seeing Spain and Germany out in favour of Japan and Costa Rica, especially considering how badly outscored Costa Rica were in their first game?

Has any team ever lost a match 7-0 and still made it through to the round of 16?
