Qualifying goes on forever and you can play well leading up to the tournament but wow does it ever end quickly for some teams. Hardly had a chance to get excited and it's over for my squad.
Thanks for that! As an Irishman and that being my first world cup, I should've known that already (and it's even got the Irish commentary from George Hamilton over it!) though to be fair, I was 9 years old. That wasn't quite the same situation as both teams were progressing anyway and the draw was just for placement, but yeah I guess they would still do it the same way. That would've been nerve-wracking for the teams today as they would've had to wait a few hours for all of that to be sorted to see if they were in or out.

Eustaquio isn’t on the bench so he must be pretty hurt. His injury just before half most likely changed all of Herdmans adjustments and what he could do in the last match
Think it's time to put Borjan out to pasture after this one. Appreciate what he's done but they need to find a better keeper going forward. He's had a terrible world cup.
